The beauty of Camp Gigant was nowhere near Islandia but it was beautiful much more than any place on earth. They were sitting together in a semi-circle, it was near nightfall. Everyone was focused on the challenge ahead and how to escape this night unhurt. Clark was fast asleep, snoring loudly. Votigern sat on his make-believe throne, every bit the sovereign ruler he saw himself as. He was clad in a red and gold patterned robe and golden slippers. You wouldn’t have guessed he was of no royal descent. They rode into a small village that was surprisingly empty, void of people and activities. When they were deep into the village they began to hear noise from a distance. It was dusk by the time they arrived. They rode for a while before they spotted a few people tending to one thing or the other. When they rode further into the city, the noise increased and they were able to pinpoint its origin, there was a large gathering of people in a large circle, what was causing the noise and excitement amongst the people was still a mystery because of the people obstructing their view.
