Queenie decided to go first meet Jessica before going to Glamour Entertainment. When she got outside, she met a man putting on a suit, patiently standing beside a black Bentley.
When he saw Queenie, he walked up to her and bowed down a little. "Good morning, Mrs. Verlice. My name is Vincent and I was tasked to take you anywhere you wish to go. In other words, I'm your assigned driver."
Queenie looked back at the car and nodded, but she had a complaint to make. "Why does it have to be such an eye-catching model?"
Vincent glanced back at the car and grimaced. "Mr. Verlice knew you'd say such, which was why he gave this Bentley. It is, in fact, the lowest model in his garage."
Queenie clicked her tongue. "Rich people sure know how to spend money. I'm going to meet a friend in a café."
"Okay, ma'am." Said Vincent as he walked back to the car and pulled the door open. "Please."
It had been a long time since she was treated in such a respectful way and as such, her cheeks burned with shyness.
"Thank you. We are heading to Latte Café." She instructed when she got inside the car.
Vincent nodded, started the car and bolted out of the compound. It took them five minutes to get there.
When she got out of the car, she noticed Vincent following behind her and turned to look at him.
"It's okay. You can wait for me in the car. I'm just going to meet a friend."
Vincent shook his head and lowered his head respectfully. "I was told to follow you everywhere. If I let you out of my sight, I'm afraid I won't live to tell the tale of what happened."
Queenie's eyes softened as she nodded. "Sure, come with me."
This was the soft, pleasant voice that Alicia who was shopping seated a little farther from them, heard and turned around.
When she saw it was Queenie with a handsome man, she grabbed her purse and got up, ready to cause some trouble.
"Well well well, look who we have here. I never expected to see or hear from you again, Queenie Knight."
She said loudly. Her voice caught the attention of the people in the café just like she intended.
Then she looked towards Vincent, then back at Queenie.
"Is this another unfortunate man you've decided to latch onto and put an end to his lineage?"
Before Queenie could say anything, Vincent stepped forward and shielded her from Alicia.
"I'm sorry, Ms, but talking bad about her is something you're not permitted to do."
His words were enough to make her lose her cool, but considering the sisters who had come with her, she decided to play with him a little bit. After all, she was the wife of Velon Aspen, even if she got into trouble, he'd sure make a way our for her.
"Ah, a protective one." She chuckled, then looked past him to meet Queenie's eyes. "I see you've gotten yourself the right catch. But believe me, no one will stay forever with a barren woman!"
Although her words made some women in the café uneasy, they had no choice than to swallow back their words and act nonchalant to the brewing disaster.
"I don't think there's any reason for us to exchange words with each other, Alicia. As someone who married a man of the upper class, I expected you to have learned some good morals. It's a pity low-lifes will always be low-lifes and people like me, even though barren, will always make people like you fidget." Queenie finally retorted.
Alicia didn't find it offensive, instead, she clicked her tongue with a small smile, intent on leaching onto her words. "You're a divorced woman because you're barren. It'll always remain that way!"
Everyone shuddered at Alicia's words, their perspective of her being kind with words taking a drastic turn.
"I've been waiting for you." A tired voice sounded from behind Alicia.
When she turned around, she met a full length blonde walking in with two two men following behind her.
When she got to them, her aura and the arrogant look in her eyes, hinted to Alicia she was probably someone of importance.
Her suspicion was confirmed when the manager of the café, Finn Lei, rushed down flustered.
"What's happening here?" He asked no one in particular. However, one of the waitresses stepped forward, intending to explain.
Her eyes met with that of Alicia's coincidentally and the latter got the message. Obviously, Queenie was someone that once had power, but had lost it.
Doing what Alicia wanted was equivalent to paving a way to success for herself. Ruining a nobody's image didn't sound like a bad thing to do. Especially to a waitress who had done it a lot of times.
"Welcome, Mr. Lei. The person constituting the nuisance is no one else other than that woman there. Ever since she walked in with her... Boyfriend, she had made it a point of duty to pick on Mrs. Verlice. We had let them be as it was none of our business. However, we realized how intense it was when that woman accused Mrs. Verlice of stealing her husband and calling her a lowlife."
The waitress wasn't scared of the surveillance camera being checked as she knew Finn would never check it. After all, if he embarrassed Alicia, he'd be putting the café on the line as Velon would be likely to retaliate.
Finn looked towards Queenie and Vincent. She felt Vincent looked really familiar, but couldn't wrap his finger on where he had seen him before.
Nonetheless, he didn't fail to butter up to Jessica who had a small smile on her face. "Ms. Bayne, what do you think about this matter?"
Jessica raised a brow as her eyes met with that of Queenie. Then she turned to the manager.
"I say we punish those who lied and constituted the nuisance."
Hearing him, Finn, Alicia and the waitress breathed out a sigh of relief unaware of the impending danger.

Finn looked towards Queenie and his expression became cold. Truth be told, he didn't really care about Queenie as she was just a used cargo. Although Velon had married her quietly, people like him had still heard the news. When he divorced her, he still heard the news. As expected, he didn't hold any respect towards her. "I'm sorry, Ms. Knight, but because you disturbed the peace of my café, I have no choice than to ask you to apologize to Mrs. Aspen and leave." It took everything in Jessica not to intervene prior to the stern eyes coming from Queenie. Vincent on the other hand couldn't bite down the disrespect and intended to teach Finn a lesson or two, but was held back by Queenie. She smiled and confidently assured him. "It's okay. I can handle this." Then she stepped forward. "Mr. Lei, I was told you were upright and just. I just don't understand why you'll choose to listen to one side and totally neglect the other. It doesn't seem just in my eyes. Instead, it looks as thoug
Queenie stuck her head outside the car's window to see smoke coming up from a place that looked familiar. "I would have suggested that it was a firework, but we both know that isn't." Queenie said, retreating her head. "I have no idea where it is you're going." Jessica gave a small smile. "Rest assured, you'll love it. It'd also bring back some old, cherished memories." Jessica's words made her a little upset, but she said nothing. Long ago, they were best friends. Then she fell in love with the low life scumbag, Velon, and her life became ruined. He literally blocked her access to the outside world, made her life unbearable, beat her and blamed her for her inability to bear a child. Thinking of her child, she held her still flat stomach slightly. Jessica glanced at her stomach briefly before focusing back on the road. "How's the baby?" "The baby is... Wait, how do you know I'm pregnant?" Queenie quickly realized and asked. "How did I get your number?" Jessica retorted,
"What's happening here?" Kira asked as soon as she arrived at the reception. When she saw Queenie and recalled the picture Andrew had shown her, her lips quavered. Almost immediately, another lady in corporate wear. When she saw the situation, her gaze faltered. However, the other receptionist who had embarrassed Queenie disregarded the conflicted look in that receptionist's eyes and went on to complain to Kira. "Kira, this lady suddenly showed up and claimed she was phoned by you to come sign an endorsement contract. However, knowing she was lying, I tried to drive her away as politely as possible, but she was so bitter that she lashed out at me." Everyone around concurred with her. Kira on the other hand could only sigh. Regardless of Queenie's rudeness, the truth was, they were in big trouble for their words towards her. "Everyone return back to your previous places. Indeed, I was the one who called her under the direction of the President." She said with a straight face as s
The contract signing only took five minutes before she was done. She stood in front of Andrew lazily. "Would you prefer to get your personal assistant and assistant or should the company assign one to you?" He asked. Queenie wanted to reject it until someone flashed past her mind. Jessica Bayne. When she pulled out her phone and called the lady who was trying to sleep in the room they reserved. "Do you think so lowly of me, Queenie?" No doubt, Jessica was upset. Queenie breathed out softly and replied. "It's just an offer. You can choose to reject it. Not like I care." She was about to hang up when Jessica huffed. "Fine, I'll do it!" She pocketed her phone and looked up at Andrew. "I already have the issue about the personal assistant sorted out. The company can assign me a manager." Andrew nodded. "I'll get her to contact you tomorrow. She'd also give you a schedule of your activities when you return here tomorrow." Queenie nodded and walked out of the conference room. When
When Queenie's eyes opened, she was surprised to see a man in black suit sleeping on the small patient chair beside her. When she looked down at her hand, she found out he entwined it with his. She thought she could slip out of his hand without waking him, but was disappointed when his eyes flew open the very next second. "You're up." He said sleepily, tightening his grip on her palm again. "How are you feeling?" Queenie nodded and tried to sit up, but was pushed back onto her seat by Pierce. "You just woke up. The doctor said it's advisable for you to stay in bed until you're strong enough." The man hissed. Despite his words, she still protested. "I was told to come to Glamour Entertainment today. What impression would I leave if I don't make it there today? They might say I'm abusing the little privilege I have." Pierce chuckled softly and pushed her back onto the bed again. "I don't think that's necessary again." "Huh? Why? Have I been laid off?" She gasped. Pierce shook hi
Jessica left fully knowing she had poked a sour nerve in the girl. However, she bumped into someone she didn't expect to see so soon in the elevator. By the time she realized, it was already too late to leave. "Still the trouble making Jessica. I'm kinda surprised, for you to be a personal assistant, the person must be of a higher caliber, not so?" Liam Verlice, a handsome devil and one Jessica had been running from for a year. He had trapped her in an elevator, leaving her to his mercy. "Stay away from me, Liam." She retorted with a scoff and turned to the side. "I will after you tell me why you've been running away from me..." ... Queenie got home that afternoon on her own. She had to persuade the man to go to work that she was going to be fine. After minutes of persuasion, the man accepted and left. But not without assigning three of his best men with her. One which was Wensley, Gray and Vincent. Vincent took the wheel as usual. Recalling something, she asked him.
As Queenie stared at the three women all dressed casually, she couldn't believe her eyes. "What did you two say you're doing here?" She finally asked. However, the two women were smiling sheepishly. Only when Alicia poked them did they snap out of their thoughts. Regardless of her help, that didn't stop them from turning to glare at her. "Roxanne Nexter and Audrey Hepburn, to what do I owe this great visit?" Queenie asked again, this time, her eyes fluctuated between the two brow heads. Audrey, who had a frickle and was fond of putting on a serious countenance, spoke first. "It was just so unfair Jessica had to be the one to attend to you. I mean what does she know?" Now, that didn't go well with Jessica who was seated right beside Queenie. Before she could retaliate, the phone in Queenie's hand rang. Taking a look at it, she noticed it was from her manager, Anna. "Hello?" She spoke as soon as she answered the phone. "Do you realize you have a movie to shoot?" The harsh tone
"Ms. Ken demands your presence immediately!" The assistant said domineeringly. Roxanne wanted to say something, but was held back by the gentle smile on Queenie's face. "It's alright, I'll be there soon." However, the assistant made no effort to leave. Instead, she raced her voice and repeated. "Ms. Ken wishes to see you right now, Ms. Knights!" This time, Queenie, who wanted to play nice, frowned. As she looked towards Alicia's direction, she couldn't help frowning. Alicia just liked to throw her weight around. When the assistant saw Director Dixon walking towards them, she raised her brows in smugness. She had no idea what would befall her. "Ladies, what's going on here?" Director Dixon asked. The assistant who was bent on getting on Alicia's good side, Instantly started complaining. "All I asked her to do was come see Ms. Ken, but she insulted me and made it look like I wasn't trying to get her attention. When I tried to reason with her that it was Mrs. Aspens who needed he
