"You're supposed to be happy you know?" Gerald muttered as he helped Queenie load her things on a truck.

Queenie stood meters away from him and stared at him like a ghost. Then she asked, "I don't even know what is happening."

Gerald chuckled and walked towards her. "The thing is, your crops were good and those things you made as complimentary gifts suited their tastes. They loved it. But in order not to appear too demanding, they bought your things at the price I have them and extended a contract for you to help them make the complimentary you gave them."

"Oh." Queenie muttered and said nothing else.

After she found herself on the ground, she suddenly heard the traders from the city congratulating her.

Although she was confused, she waited for them to be gone before she inquired what the matter was from Gerald.

The man had tried to explain a thousand and one times what was going on but each time, her mind would zone out and she'd find herself reminiscing on the voices she heard
