CHAPTER 56

ROSE'S POV

The first thing I noticed when I started to wake up was the warmth around me, something solid and warm resting across my waist. Damien.

I blinked the sleep away and let my eyes adjust to the soft, early morning light. His arm was wrapped around my waist, still holding me possessively, like he wasn’t ready to let go—even in sleep. His body was pressed into mine, and I could feel the heat of him through the thin fabric of my shirt.

It wasn’t often that I saw him this peaceful while he slept. Normally, he’d be up before I was, buried in emails and phone calls before the sun had time to warm the windows. But right now, he looked… calm. His lashes were long, resting against his sharp cheekbones, and his lips—usually curled in amusement or pulled tight in frustration—were soft. He looked almost innocent. But only almost.

I shifted a little, and the second I did, Damien let out a soft hum. His arm tightened around me, tugging me in closer.

  • A Deal With The Billionaire   Walking on Glass

CHAPTER 93 LAZIEL’S POV As I made my way out from seeing Lily, I nearly collided with Karen, who was just walking in, carrying a bunch of food. “Oh hello Mr Laziel, what’s the rush?” she asked, narrowing her eyes at me, probably trying to figure out what was going on. I glanced down at my wrist, where Damien’s watch was still ticking away, and shrugged, trying to play it cool. "Just heading out. Got to return this," I said, waving the wristwatch in front of her face like it was some sort of trophy and a way to get myself out of explaining myself. “Right, because that definitely explains the rush,” she said with a raised eyebrow. But I didn't stick around for more questions. “See you later, Karen!” I called over my shoulder, making my escape. Once I was back in my car, the breath I’d been holding tightly released. I sat there for a moment, gripping the steering wheel, feeling the weight of everything that had been piling up lately. Why the fuck was Lily's pussy so wide? I had to

Trigger Warning: Contains coercion, manipulation, and non-consensual sexual content. Reader discretion is advised. CHAPTER 92 LILY’S POV I blinked my eyes open, feeling groggy and all out of sorts. It took a moment for where I was to come into focus. The room felt wayyyy too bright but that wasn't all either. Something didn’t feel right. I shifted in bed, and that’s when I noticed it, my sheets were fucking soaked! Panic washed over me as I sat up and tried to move but I realised I couldn't. The shock of being bedridden crashing hit me like a wave. “Help! Is anyone there?” I called out, my voice hoarse and weak. But the room was completely silent. Why had they left me all on my own if I couldn't friggin walk?! I tried to recall how I ended up here. What had happened? The last thing I remembered was... well, it was all jumbled up and it was as if the harder I thought, the worse my headache got so I decided to stop for now. All I knew was that I needed to get myself out of this m

  • A Deal With The Billionaire   Granny Marian’s Warning

CHAPTER 91 ROSE’S POV After what was a long and exhausting day at the hospital, Lily had made it out of the dangerous part. I was relieved to see Lily resting peacefully but still overwhelmed by everything that had happened. The doctors had given us some unsettling news: Lily was diagnosed with dissociative amnesia. They told us she wouldn’t be able to receive visitors for a few more hours while they monitored her status. That didn’t sit right with me. I wanted to be there for her, to reassure her that everything would be okay, but I had to let her rest. “Hey, Rose,” Karen said, giving me that sympathetic look she always does. “Do you want me to stay here? I can help you with Lily.” I appreciated her offer more than I could say because I did need to find Marian Velasco first. I had a feeling she was going to slip through my fingers if she could. “Yes, please. I think it’s better if you stay here with Lily,” I said. “She might need you when she wakes up. I’ll be back soon with D

  • A Deal With The Billionaire   From Clues to Crisis

CHAPTER 90 ROSE’S POV After a few days of Lily being back home, things finally started to feel somewhat normal. I mean, as normal as it gets with a lot of secrets and unsaid words. I had been gathering some information and from the look of things, a road trip was on the agenda. I called the two people I knew wouldn't say no and stepped out of the house. **** I picked up Karen and Danny from the little café they were hanging out at. Right when I got in the car, the tension got so thick, you could cut into it with a knife. “Listen up, you two,” I said, trying to keep my stress from showing in my voice, “I’ve got a mystery to solve, and we’re going back to my roots to do it.” “Roots?” Danny asked as he tapped away on his phone. “What do you mean?” I pulled out my phone while driving and looked over the info I had sent them. “I already sent all the info you need on your phones. Just check the texts.” They both fumbled with their phones as I drove through the streets. I could prac

CHAPTER 89 DONOVAN’S POV “These bastards only seem to make my job even a bit harder.” I muttered to myself as I sifted through the paperwork that had been sent. Feeling a headache come along, I dropped the but just as I was about to drift off into thoughts of a vacation, I felt a gentle tug at my sleeve. It was Mara, my housekeeper, with her usual no-nonsense expression. “Mr. Donovan, there’s a young lady at the door.” “Just send her away, Mara. I’m not in the mood for visitors,” I muttered, half-heartedly waving her off. But she didn’t budge. “Sir, I think you should see her. She is looking for young Damien.” Right. It had been a while since I’d seen my nephew. Perhaps this girl was just another one of those interests, the kind that came in and out of his life. My head was filled with thoughts of how he changed women like clothes. Tch, I could never understand the younger generation. “Fine, fine. I’ll see who it is.” I made my way to the door and, to my surprise, it was Seraph

  • A Deal With The Billionaire   Chicken Talk

CHAPTER 88 ROSE'S POV “Wait here, I won't stay long. I don't like it if someone follows me around. This is an order,“ I added because I know she might want to protest. “But madam, who knows if there's paparazzi in there? I don't want anyone to bother you as I shop and I need to protect you.” I took out a face mask and wore it instantly. Emily got the message and did not ask any questions. “Wow! I can't believe I will finally get the chance to enter this place. Your fiancé is generous.” Karen said and I rolled my eyes at her. We stepped in. Lily and I seemed to be the same size. So, I'm very sure the clothes that would fit me perfectly would fit her as well. But I don't want to spend Damien's money too much. So, I went for less expensive clothes, shoes and bags. I suddenly spotted a red bag on the counter. I was attracted to it immediately. “Hey, look at that,” I said to Karen and pointed at the bag. She gasped in shock and soon smiled in excitement. “This bag would look great
