I couldn’t control the wild thumping in my heart. Strangely, she agreed to stay the night with me so easily. I had expected her to fight tooth and nail on this.

After her dinner, Mom rested, and we returned to the reception party.

“Thank you for agreeing to stay. I’m so glad Mom liked you.”

Daniella smiled as we walked down hand in hand towards the elevator. “She wants us to get married in a month or two! Do you realize that?”

“I know. We’ll see after returning from Greece. There’s a slight change in the plans. We’ll go next weekend.”

“Oh, how much will it cost?”

I felt annoyed. Did she really think I would accept money from her? “It’s free for you. We’ll fly in our private jet.”

“Wow! I’m so glad to have a loaded fiancé.” She chuckled, and I rolled my eyes at her.

“That’s a prerequisite these days, right? A guy has to be loaded if he wants a steady relationship with a beautiful woman.” I watched the fleeting expressions on her face.
