A Deal With The King of Ice

Noah Turner is used to starting over. New city, new school, same heartbreak. After a lifetime following her serial romantic mother from one failed marriage to the next, she transfers to a new university hoping for a fresh start—and finally meeting the online boyfriend she’s loved for two years. Instead, he dumps her over text. Then a housing mix-up assigns her to the university’s most feared hockey captain: Miles Presley. A brooding 6’7” ice king with a permanent scowl and zero interest in sharing his space. Miles has three rules: stay away from distractions, stick to his routine, and never let anyone close enough to disrupt his life. Noah breaks all three within twenty four hours. Things get worse when they discover their parents are about to marry, making them future step-siblings. Then Noah walks into the hockey arena and sees her ex, Tyson, kissing another girl. Heartbroken and furious, she kisses Miles in front of the entire team. Now everyone thinks they’re dating. Tyson is Miles’s biggest rival on the ice. So Miles claims the relationship, both to get back at him and to sabotage their parents’ wedding. He offers Noah a deal: pretend to be together, ruin the engagement, and walk away when it’s over. Simple. Except nothing about them is simple. Not when Tyson wants her back. Not when Miles is fighting for his NHL shot while the ghosts of his mother’s death threaten everything he’s built. And definitely not when pretending starts to feel dangerously real. In a game of love, ambition, family, and betrayal, what happens when keeping the deal costs them everything… but breaking it might cost them even more?
