The funeral was torture.

Everyone dressed in black with teary faces and a miserable body language, even the weather seemed to cooperate, it was drizzling lightly putting a gloomy envelope over us. It wasn't my first time attending a funeral, I had attended one, my own father's, 4 years back.

And though that one was fake, I was sure this one wasn't because this was an open casket and I could see the silent pale dead body.

I gulped, feeling my tears in the eyelids, I blinked them off. Looking around I realized I knew quite a few people. My eyes stopped as they landed on my father's rigid body, his eyes strained on the coffin. People talked beside him but he was too focused on the dead body to listen to their words.
