Author: Puppy’s Tears
Sienna signaled her bodyguards to pull Lance away and gripped my icy hand.

“Let’s continue.”

“Time to put on the ring.”

She handed me the velvet ring box. Her gaze was calm and unreadable.

Lance, dragged across the floor, was still screaming at the top of his lungs.

“Sienna! I won’t allow you to marry him with our child inside you!”

“You said you felt nothing but gratitude for Zach Quiroz! Why are you insisting on marrying him?!”

Nothing but gratitude.

Those words felt like a rusted saw, cutting back and forth across my heart.

I looked at Sienna and said with a trembling voice, “Don’t you have anything to explain?”

She avoided my gaze, her eyes scanning the whispering friends and family gathered below.

“Let’s finish the proposal first. People are watching.”

She knew perfectly well how many eyes were on us.

I was being humiliated in front of everyone. My reputation was torn to shreds, a crown of shame placed upon me, and she wouldn't even give me a single explanation.

Lance suddenly broke free from the bodyguards, pulling a fruit knife from his pocket and pressing it against his neck.

“Sienna, you can’t say yes! I’ll die right here if you do!”

For the first time, I saw a flicker of emotion in Sienna’s eyes, but her lips stayed steady,

“Die if you must. Just get out of my way.”

I watched the undercurrent of tension between them.

For the first time, I felt like the intruder, a ridiculous, unnecessary clown.

Sienna turned to me and urged, “Zach, hurry up.”

Lance, now completely enraged, lunged at me with the knife, and screamed, “This is all your fault! Sienna belongs to me!”

I instinctively raised my hand to block.

The blade sliced through my palm. Warm blood gushed out instantly, staining my white suit crimson.

Lance froze for a moment, stunned by what he had done, and his legs gave way. He tumbled down a few steps.

“Lance!”

Sienna rushed forward, then spun back to glance at me. There was a delayed flash of worry and panic in her eyes.

I looked down at the knife lodged in my palm.

I smiled.

Slowly, I pulled it out, letting the blood spurt freely.

Clutching the handle tightly, I stepped toward the fallen Lance.

"If he’s so desperate to go to hell, let me help him."

Amid the screams of the guests, I raised the knife and aimed for his chest.

Sienna lunged forward, planting herself firmly in front of him.

My hand came to a stop, barely an inch from her heart.

A sharp slap landed across my face.

She glared at me, fury written all over her face. “Zach, are you out of your mind?! Drop the knife!”

She called for assistants and bodyguards, carefully scooped up the fainted Lance, and rushed toward the hospital.

All the while, she never spared me a glance.

She had completely ignored the fact that I was the one bleeding most.

I remained where I stood as crimson blood dripped onto the luxurious carpet beneath me.

I thought it was over. I really did. However, Sienna always had a way of turning things into something far more insane. It was Sebastian who slid a phone across the table to me.“You need to see this.”The screen showed Sienna’s live stream. She stood on the hospital rooftop, dressed in an oversized patient gown. The wind whipped her hair into a tangled mess. She was gaunt. Her face was as pale as paper. She was crying so hard her voice cracked and tore.“Zach, I know I was wrong! I really know I was wrong!”“Please forgive me. Pull me back again!”“You were the one who dragged me out of hell, you promised you’d always protect me!”“Ten years, our ten years together, was it all a lie?”The live comments exploded.[Sienna, calm down! I thanked him sincerely.“Zach! Why did you block me?”Sienna stood in the doorway. Her face was haggard and pale. There were dark circles under her eyes. When she saw me, her eyes lit up, but the words that followed were sharp with accusation.“Do you know how miserable I’ve been these past few days? I can’t oversee anything without you!”I turned my wheelchair to face her. I gave her a cold look.“Sienna, there’s nothing left between us to talk about, except as enemies.”Her eyes reddened. She stepped closer. Her voice trembled.“No, Zach, I’ve always loved you!”“Lance was just an accident! If you really care…”She took a deep breath, as though summoning all her courage.“I can get rid of the child. We can go back to the way we were, okay?”“Oh? And now you conveniently forget your promises to Lance?”I looked at her with biting sarcasm. “Or do you think I suddenly became more valuable again?“So, my family name makes me better than that loser Lance, huh?”“That’s not

I stayed silent for a long time before I finally spoke. My voice was hoarse and unfamiliar.“The house my mother left me is still in Sienna’s hands.”“Can you help me to get it back?”Sebastian shot me a glare full of barely contained frustration.“My aunt’s property? Don’t worry. I’ll get every last bit back for you. No need for you to fret.”He pushed a glass of whiskey toward me.“I’m just afraid once your wounds heal, you’ll forget the pain.”“The moment that woman sheds another tear, you’ll soften again.”I lifted the glass and downed it in one go.The burning liquid scorched my throat and stomach, yet I felt relieved.“I’m not a fool.”“I won’t cling to her even after getting betrayed like this.”“Ha, you never know.”Sebastian smirked, mercilessly pulling apart my vulnerabilities.“You’re hopelessly love-struck, remember?”“When grandpa asked you to return to the Stone family and inherit your mother’s shares… What did you say?”“You said you only wanted to be wit

A thunderous shout ripped through the grand hall like a bolt of lightning.Guests whipped their heads around.A figure strode in against the light. Dozens of black-suited bodyguards trailed behind him. An intimidating force filled the room.“Is that Sebastian of the Stone Corporation?”“Oh goodness, he’s the CEO of the top-tier Stone family! How is he even here?”“I thought the Stone family’s headquarters were still in England?”Amid the murmurs and gasps, Sebastian waved his hand impatiently. His bodyguards sprang into action. They charged onto the stage, roughly shoving aside the two bodyguards trying to restrain me.They pushed my wheelchair through the stunned crowd straight to Sebastian. He looked down at me with furrowed brows. “Great. ”You look good in that suit, but not as good as me.”“Did you know? Sienna had it custom-made to my measurements from the start. She’d been waiting for me to come back and marry her.”I had spent over half a year meticulously planning this wedding. The lead role was not mine from the very beginning. On the wedding day, two bodyguards pinned me in place at the venue.Sienna appeared in the wedding gown I had chosen for her. It was stunning enough to take my breath away. She lifted the hem of her dress and gracefully twirled. Happiness was written all over her face.“Zach, do I look beautiful?”“I can’t give you a wedding, but the first eyes to see me in this gown are yours.”She crouched to reach for my hand.I coldly pulled my hand back.“The one you’re marrying isn’t me. It’s Lance.”Lance was jealous. He reached out and pulled Sienna into his arms.“Why’d you make him do this? Sienna, I won’t be happy if this ceremony isn’t flawless.”She looked torn, glancing back and
