Tears streamed down her face as she said, "I'm doing this for you. On the battlefield, we must be prepared for sacrifices. Their deaths will be compensated for by the royal family. What's wrong with that?"

Ulrik's heart turned cold at her words. "They didn't need to die like this. The Ironthorn Army is the main force. Our role is to support them. Even by my side, you could have had them load stones instead of sending them to their deaths."
