Chapter: 23

Maiden POV:

When Nilayah walked off, I stood in disbelief. I could not believe what she was going anywhere. My mate stood her ground with me, she did not show any fear at all, even when I let my aura out. I looked into my mate eyes I could feel her aura, but most of all she stood with pride. I hate to admit that I was proud to see that someone could stand up to me. Thinking about it, I can see that I have my work cut out for me. When my mate told me she will not give up, I took it as a challenge.

I was lost in thought until Kazimir spoke up, snapping me out of it. Kazimir had a smirk on his face when I looked over at him. I knew his thoughts and spoke up before he could say anything, warning him "Don't even think about it."
