The visitation

The next morning, she was awoken by the sounds coming out from the backyard. She yawned tiredly and winced in pain as she felt pains all over her body. The bed was small and she had managed to help herself from falling during the night.

She sat up on the bed as she looked around the room. Amos was nowhere to be found and she wondered where he was off to.

It was morning already and she could see a ray of the beautiful sunrise which settled on the window.

She stood up from the bed and tied the cloth firmly across her chest as she walked out of the room. She couldn't notice a presence around the house.

"Oops! Everyone must be in the kitchen," she exclaimed as she hurried out immediately.

She knew she would get scolded by Mrs Eno for sleeping so late when she was supposed to be up early, assisting in the kitchen. African moms are like that; strict and intolerant, she thought as she walked out of the house.

"Oh, our Iyoba(Queen mother) has arrived," she heard Mrs Eno sing in appraisal as
