“I can’t be next to you” Gunner growled.

The statement stung like lemon juice over a fresh paper cut. A right kick to the stomach. He's repulsed by me. I pulled my arm back and curled myself tighter into the foetal position. I closed my eyes tight, but it didn’t stop my tears. I knew this day would come eventually. How could he ever love me? Want me? I'm horrid.

“I’m sorry, I just can’t control myself. Your smell, Zelena” he groaned and growled again,

“You smell so fucking intoxicating. You have no idea how hard it has been not to have my way with you over and over and over again” Gunner growled painfully. I opened my eyes again and wiped away the tears so that I could see him more clearly. He was hunched over in the chair with his hand placed firmly over his mouth and nose.
