Lunaya.“And I will help you” she said with a nod. The response surprised me. I didn’t even know Cleo liked me. Yet here she was declaring her assistance should I go to war with the hunters. I stood silently staring at her, rethinking every harsh criticism I had previously had. I had no idea how to respond to her decree, so I just opened and closed my mouth a couple of times, before landing on a contemplative frown. Cleo watched me for a moment before shrugging and setting off walking again. I caught up to her and we both found Romeá waiting for us up ahead. The rest of the walk was silent. As we got to the village, it had been cleared of nearly half the crowd. The mess was slowly being cleaned up by multiple Weres, male and female. “I’ll go get something for you to wear” Romeá said over her shoulder before walking off through the tables and chairs. I looked around at the mess and the dishevelled appearance of a lot of the Weres. This party clearly didn’t turn out like they expected.
