Zelena.

“The twins” I whispered. My voice broke slightly with the fear warping into my words. We don’t know who these Weres are, or what their intentions are. Do they really mean no harm, or is it just a ploy to get close enough to hurt us. Are they here for me, or for my babies, who knows. I can’t take the risk of waiting to find out. The twins are the most important thing, and I will kill anyone who threatens their lives.

Roe nodded back to me in understanding and dashed back into the house. I turned my gaze on Venus, who paused. She looked over at Elaine’s wolf, then out to the gathering fighters, before back to me. She was hesitating or unwilling to leave the possible fight.

“Please, I need you to protect my babies” I half pleaded half demanded of her. She growled lowly but was swiftly cut off by a bark from Elaine. With that, she nodded and rushed back into the house. Another howl called out, this time sounding much closer than the last one. I walked to the edge of the porch step

Whiskey.I crept forward, being sure to stay downwind and not make a sound. I got close enough to see the huge man through the trees, but I wouldn’t dare to approach any further. He was standing under some kind of garden cabana. It was painted white with vines sprouting purple flowers growing around the structure’s poles. Tobias was leaning on the railing, facing away from an overly large woman standing beside him. Where the fuck were they hiding this monster of a woman? There is no way I would have missed her wandering around the village before now. A plane flying overhead wouldn't miss this mammoth of a woman. She was sporting tribal tattoos on her chin and both of her exposed arms. I think I am in pretty good shape, I'm strong and fit and have good stamina. But this woman, she was in a class of her own. Her biceps were bigger than Gunner’s, and her angry scowl was enough to make me raise an eyebrow. It will be interesting if I come across her in a one-on-one battle.I slid behind a

  • A Goddess Gifted by Fate   Chapter 439 - Dark Power

Whiskey.I watched silently from the tree line for a little while longer. I know he’s in there, it’s the only place that makes any sense. However, my suspicions were confirmed when I spotted Gunner stomping out of the barn. I was far enough away not to be scented or seen, but not far enough to be unable to see the rotten look on his face. I watched the side of his face as he marched away. Even fuming mad he is still enticing to look at. He should belong to me. Mine to admire, to ravish, to love. Why did the witch get the good life? Why was she more deserving than me? The anger filled my stomach and slowly spread to my chest, slowly boiling me from the inside out. Fucking Selene and her damn favouritism. Zelena is nothing but a weak bug needing to be crushed under the weight of my boot. I am the more powerful one, I am the one that everyone should love and fear. Not her. Me!The rage spilled out of me, scorching my skin and fuelling my desire for revenge. First the blue-eyed wolf, and

  • A Goddess Gifted by Fate   Chapter 438 - The Barn

Whiskey.I looked across the clearing and spotted the roof of the barn building thing, the small cabin was not too far to the right of that. While trying my best to keep total concentration over the power, I quickly scoped what was going on below in the clearing. Much of the same, no one really paid too much attention to anything else outside of what they were doing themselves. This is my chance. While it’s clear and no one is watching. If I go as quickly as possible, then I doubt anyone will see me. The only problem there is now, is if I can control the distance, or the landing, or anything after this point. I must be losing my damn mind. I angled my arms behind me and felt the air slither further up my legs to my abdomen and chest. It was holding me, supporting me, but it also felt like it was a part of me. Being embraced by the coolness of the power was like hugging my arms tightly around myself. I always believed that the power was something forced onto me by my torturers. Perhaps

Whiskey.I watched on as Gunner’s mother continued to converse with the man. My mind was running a million miles a minute. If he tells them that it was me that killed his pack, everything will be fucked. It will mess up all my plans of waiting and watching. I need to observe this place, and the idiots that live here, for a longer period. I need to know more before I attack. I've already seen a small part of their defences when Doyle entered their land. I have no doubt that there would be more than just a couple of warriors hidden around the place. I need the time to work out what they are. I can’t go in blind this time. Especially seeing as Gunner has powers of his own. They're too strong and I can’t risk failing. That's a weird concept to swallow. Failure. It's not something I am used to. I don’t fail, I never have, and I don’t ever plan to. Which is why I have to plan out this attack and prepare for it properly. If this stupid beast spills his guts before then, I may not have that o

  • A Goddess Gifted by Fate   Chapter 436 - Bite me in the ass

Whiskey.I could feel the itch of need crawl over my skin. I want to feel that abomination’s warm blood run down my arms after I impale him with my claws. I want to see the life drain out of him. All this time, that cocky asshole was a half-breed. Gunner’s voice bellowed through the clearing, pulling my thoughts away from killing Doyle and back to the current moment. Gunner had changed back to his human form and was standing between the assassin and a giant black wolf. It's the same wolf I saw in the forest earlier. So, he is one of Gunner’s lackeys. The wolf stepped back slightly, and there she was. The little witch, the bane of my existence. Zelena. If I could shoot lasers from my eyes, I’d carve my name into her skin, and then she’d be dead right here right now. Doyle dropped to his knee in front of Gunner and the giant wolf moved to stand protectively over Zelena’s shoulder. Of course, she has her own guard dog. Stupid fucking princess. Everyone fucking loves her, don’t they. Ever

  • A Goddess Gifted by Fate   Chapter 435 - Alpha Doyle

Whiskey. After a few more seconds, the tall half-breed and fourteen of the wolves took off through the trees, taking the human prisoner with them. The remaining four half-breeds and two wolves slowly ran off in another direction. I was torn on who to follow. I could take out the half-breeds and two wolves easily. Then loop back around for the other larger group. But I want to know why they are here, who their captive is and what the go with this giant half-breed is. I snarled and jumped down from my tree, chasing after the larger group. I kept my distance and made sure to stay in the shadows and out of sight. After a while the group split into four and all ran off in different directions. What the fuck are they doing, is this some kind of random attack strategy. I kept on the main half-breed, as much as it infuriated me. Their splitting up only makes it easier for me to pick them off. But I need to know what is going on.These idiots made no attempt to be quiet or sneaky or to hide th
