The man at the interview.

Brielle felt a sense of excitement and anticipation as she got ready for her interview. She had been working hard to prepare, and she felt confident in her abilities. She had done her research and she was ready to show off her skills. But as she went through her notes one last time, she couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude.

The company Brielle was interviewing for was a large and prestigious corporation, and the position she was hoping for was a coveted one_ the position of a secretary. The secretary would be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from managing the CEO's schedule to handling sensitive information. It was a challenging and demanding job, but Brielle was up for the challenge. She knew that if she got the position, it would be a huge step forward in her career.

Brielle wanted to look her best for the interview, but she didn't want to spend a fortune on a new outfit. So she went to the department store to find a gently used suit that would make her look polished and professional. After searching through the racks, she finally found the perfect suit. It was a classic style that would never go out of fashion, and it was in great condition. She knew it was the perfect choice for her interview.

As Brielle approached the cashier, she couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. She had found the perfect outfit for her interview, and she knew she would make a great impression. When she reached the register, the cashier gave her a warm smile and said

"You look very professional. Are you preparing for a job interview?" Brielle couldn't help but smile back and say, "Yes, I am."

As Brielle walked through the door of her apartment, she was already thinking about what she would need to do to prepare for the interview. She put the suit on a hanger and hung it in the closet, then she started to make dinner. As she chopped vegetables and measured spices, she kept thinking about the interview. She wanted to be as prepared as possible, so she took some time to review her notes and practice her answers to potential interview questions.

Brielle woke up early on the day of the interview, feeling both excited and nervous. She went through her morning routine with extra care, making sure she looked her best. She put on the suit she had found at the department store, and she did her hair and makeup with extra attention to detail. Then, she grabbed her resume and her notes, and headed out the door. As she walked to the bus stop, she tried to calm her nerves and focus on the task ahead.

When Brielle arrived at the company, she felt a mix of nerves and excitement. She checked in at the front desk, and they gave her a visitor's badge. Then, she took a deep breath and headed to the waiting area. As she sat down, she tried to focus on her breathing and calm her nerves. She knew that if she could just stay calm and focused, she would do a great job on the interview.

The receptionist called Brielle's name, and she stood up and headed to the interview room. She could feel her heart pounding as she walked through the door. Brielle was a little surprised to see that there were four people in the room. She had expected one interviewer, not four. But she tried to remain calm and composed. "It's my pleasure to meet you all," she said after she was offered a seat.

The woman at the end of the table smiled and said, "We're happy to meet you, too. Let's get started." Brielle took a deep breath and began to answer the questions.

As Brielle answered each question, she began to understand why the previous interviewee had looked so dejected. The interviewers were asking difficult questions and digging deep for information. But Brielle was prepared and she was able to answer each question with confidence. She could feel her nerves melting away as she spoke, and she began to enjoy the challenge of the interview.

As Brielle was answering a question about her experience, the door opened and another man walked in.

"Please forgive the interruption," he said, turning to the interviewer who had been questioning Brielle. "I need to ask you something." Brielle watched as the interviewer stood up and stepped out of the room with the newcomer. She waited patiently, trying to stay calm and focused. After what felt like an eternity, the two men returned to the room.

As the interview continued, something clicked in Brielle's mind. The man who had just joined the interview was familiar to her. Then, it all came back to her in a rush. She had met this man at the hotel two weeks ago. He had been the one she got hooked up with in place of Nevaeh, the same man she had made out with that night.

Brielle's mind was racing as she tried to stay focused on the interview. She kept asking herself questions like, "How did he find me?" and "What's he doing here?"

In that moment, Brielle was feeling a mix of emotions, confusion, surprise, even a little bit of fear. She was having trouble processing the fact that the man who was interviewing her was the same man she had made out with in the hotel two weeks ago. She couldn't help but wonder what it meant, and how it would affect the interview. Her mind was spinning with possibilities, and it was becoming harder and harder to concentrate.

As she glanced up from her notes, she saw that the man was looking at her with a knowing look. It was as if he could read her thoughts, and he seemed to find amusement in her discomfiture. She felt a wave of anger well up inside her, but she tried to push it down. She didn't want to let him see how much he was affecting her. She took a deep breath and tried to refocus on the interview.

The name "Xavier" kept echoing in her mind, and it was like a siren song, pulling her away from the present moment. She tried to focus on the questions being asked, but she couldn't help but wonder what had brought him here. She had never expected to see him again, and now that he was sitting across from her, she was having trouble thinking clearly.

"What was he doing here, and why was he interviewing her?"

In a moment of panic, Brielle suddenly got up and hurried out of the room. She didn't stop to explain or apologize, she just needed to get away from the situation. She could hear the interviewer calling after her, but she didn't stop. She just kept moving, not even sure where she was going. All she knew was that she needed to put some distance between herself and the man who had come to represent so many confusing emotions.
