When I walked downtown in my little red dress, my heels clicking over the cobblestones, I could hardly contain my excitement. I tried to envision how Caira and Easton would react but then again, I couldn't come up with true, genuine ideas of their reactions because (a) I already knew their reactions to me being engaged with Stan in the past and I wondered if their reactions would be different this time; and (b) they liked Cameron a lot better than they did Stan which probably would also influence their reactions to the news of me being finally engaged to Cameron.

I neared our regular little and remarkable hole-in-the-wall place that always served the greatest mimosas.
