Ciara’s POV

I panted as I ran, my lungs burning and my heart pounding like it was trying to break free from my chest. The cold wind bit into my skin with sharp fingers, pulling at my clothes and hair like it wanted to drag me down. My breath came in uneven, broken gasps, but I refused to stop.

Branches clawed at my arms, scratching my skin through the thin fabric of my ceremonial robe. Twigs cracked and snapped beneath my boots. I didn’t care where I was going. All that mattered was getting away. The moonlight filtered through the thick trees, casting uneven shadows and revealing how little distance I had actually covered.

The silver ceremonial wreath was still tangled in my hair, heavy and cruel. It felt more like a punishment than a crown. I let out a raw cry of frustration, tearing it from my head despite the sharp sting. I threw it into the trees without a second thought, not even watching where it landed.

Chapter 65: Through the bars.Damon's POVThe air in the dungeon felt heavier than I remembered and it was thick, damp, and cold enough to make my breath fog.My boots echoed along the stone floor in a steady thud that almost matched the pounding in my chest. Two guards that were stationed at the entrance shifted uneasily when they saw me approaching."Alpha's orders", one of the guard starts, glancing to the other like he was hoping for backup."I'm not here to argue about orders. Open it".I said cutting him off. They both hesitated and exchanged another silent conversation with their eyes before finally, one stepped aside to let me in. The iron door groaned as it opened, and I stepped into the dim corridor leading to the cells.I walked in the dim light until I made it

Chapter 64Damon's POVI had been away for three days, and I expected a cold silence when I returned. I thought there might be some pointed looks from Daryl and that Ciara would avoid me, still upset after what happened in the hallway. The moment I stepped into the outer courtyard, I noticed the hurried steps of the Omegas and the whispers darting between them. Something was wrong."Why is everything in chaos?" I asked, approaching a pair of Omegas walking by. They glanced at each other, unsure who would speak first."Alpha…" one of them hesitated, glancing nervously toward the main pack house as if she feared speaking."Tell me," I pressed, also looking toward the house as if it could provide the answer."It's your father, Alpha," another whispered, her voice trembling. "He… he still has not woken up."

Chapter 63Ciara's POVThe days bled together in the cold cell, marked only by the dull ache in my wrists where the enchanted restraints rubbed my skin raw.At first, I counted the hours by the shifting light that filtered through the time-barred window, but after a while, I stopped. There was no point. Time meant nothing here. I was beginning to believe that numbness was easier than hope. The only face I saw was Lyra's, slipping in and out like a shadow. She never stayed for long, but she lingered just enough to place a plate of food in front of me and murmur updates in a voice too low for the guards to hear."They're still arguing," she whispered one evening, glancing nervously toward the main cell door. "Luna Eleanor hasn't let it drop. She's still pushing for an investigation."My chest tightened, but I clung to those words like a lifeline, even though I knew better than to trust lifelines here. They had a way of snapping when you needed them most."What about Damon?" I asked in a

Chapter 62:Luna Eleanor's POVThe council chamber was stinking of incense and stale self-importance.The elders sat on their carved stools as fire torch lights painted deep lines across their wrinkled faces. They had gathered here at my command and they were about to regret it if they thought they could smooth whatever happened with polite and rehearsed lies.I stood in the center of the room and stared at all their faces with a deep frown."I will not stand here and allow you to bury the truth". I started in a voice that was sharp enough to slice through the stagnant air.Elder Marrock furrowed his brows. "Luna Eleanor...""Do not Luna Eleanor me", I snapped as my patience had already run thin. "You want to tell me that Ciara, a girl dragged into our world against her will, suddenly decided to attack the king, unprovoked, in the middle of his chambers? No! I do not believe it".A few o

Chapter 61: All I HaveCiara's POVThe guards did not let me walk. They dragged me down the long, silent corridor, my heels scraping against the polished marble floor with each step. The sound echoed off the walls, loud and unrelenting, like a death march meant to announce my defeat.Their grip on my arms was iron hard. The enchanted shackles around my wrists bit into my skin, sending a constant, tingling burn up my forearms. It felt as if my very blood was rebelling against being bound, and the sensation only reminded me that I had no power here.I had no strength left to fight them. I had no will to plead. The disbelief pressed down on me more heavily than any fear could. What I could not comprehend was that Daryl had given the order. It was not a stranger, not a stranger from some distant enemy pack, but Dary

Chapter 60: A Fractured ChoiceDaryl's POVThe sound of heavy boots striking the marble floor echoed through the corridor, loud and commanding, and it made my head spin with alarm. I could barely hear the guards trying to speak, their words swallowed by the pounding rhythm of my heart. I caught only bits and pieces about Ciara and my father, words that made no sense at first, but filled me with immediate dread.I did not wait to understand. My feet moved before my mind could catch up. I pushed past the guards, who tried to slow me down, and I ran down the hallway toward the royal quarters. My heart clawed at my ribs as adrenaline surged through me. Every step was faster than the last, every breath sharp and ragged. When I reached the chamber, I froze. Guards were dragging Ciara away, their grip firm and unyielding. The instant they saw me, their steps faltered, but it was not enough to stop the inevitable confrontation."Why do you have her in cuffs?" I demanded, my voice rising with
