Chapter Seventy-Seven

Shannon’s POV

That night was the last time I felt some semblance of peace before everything came crashing down before my eyes and the scales fell off as well as I saw Ricky for who he truly was.

Even though I hadn’t completely trusted him, I hadn’t been expecting him to revert to his old self. Not after everything we had been through together over the past couple of weeks.

My eyes brimmed with tears as I remembered the times when he sided me over his brothers and made sure to have my back whenever it felt like I was being ganged on by Jules and Cole.

While I knew that what we had together hadn’t been genuine from the start. At the very least, we were honest with each other and we knew what we both wanted or so I thought.

If he had ended up betraying me, it meant that his brothers would know about the ploy as well and they had all been in this together while I had been played for a fool who had no idea about what had been in front of me the whole time.
