"Goddess Selene," I called out to the ethereal being before me. "I thought we agreed not to mess with our subjects."

"True," she replied. "and I didn't."

"You're telling me you didn't help that subject? Then why is she leaving?"

"maybe because she wasn't dead yet..."

"She was in a coma?" I asked and Selene nodded.

"I'm guessing you now know why she went back

"I do," I responded before leaving for my own kingdom of torture. What a lucky being the lady was.

Killian's POV

As the adrenaline from the successful plan against Daniel began to fade, exhaustion began to creep in. With a heavy but contented heart, I decided to call it a night after a quick dinner with my two friends.

Heading to my quarters, I slipped into bed, feeling the weight of the day's events lifting off my shoulders with each passing moment. Sleep came quickly, and for a brief moment, the worries and responsibilities of being Alpha Killian faded away.
