Storm's POV

"Aren't we in your pack?" I asked confused, most werewolves always stayed with their pack with the exception of me though, I wanted far away from mine but anyone could understand why I did that.

"No, I just bought this house because I wanted to be close to you. My pack is Coral Pack."

" I've never heard of it."

" Most Lycan packs are hidden from the knowledge of other supernaturals. But you don't need to worry, it's going to be your home soon." He smiled and started heading upstairs.

"I can't just up and leave. I have 2 jobs, you know. My employers and coworkers are going to be worried about me. They'll probably call the police thinking that I've been kidnapped." There was no way I was going to let Noah just uproot my life.

He stopped at the top and turned to look at me, his eyes were so calm and that made me a little bit worried.

"You don't need to worry about that. No one is going to look for you. I open both the cafe and bar that you worked out. I'll send word to the managers who will inform your coworkers that you've quit and have decided to take some time away to figure out personal issues." He owned where I worked, just how rich was this man and should I be worried that he was showing all the signs of a stalker.

"What do you mean by you own the different places I work at?" I asked.

He frowned. " I've bought every place you've worked at, I didn't want you to be somewhere I couldn't protect you."

Noah was freaking me out, how could he do all that just for me? It might seem cute and loving to others but to me, it was scary.

"Every place, including the lingerie store that I didn't work at for more than a day?" I took some steps back, I felt suffocated.

"No, I almost bought it but then you quit, I don't count it as places you've worked at. I did all that to protect you." He rolled his eyes and shrugged.

"Protect me, I don't feel protected right now, I feel caged. What you were doing wasn't protection, it was an obsession. You were obsessed with me and it makes me scared." I wrapped my arms around my body and hugged myself. He quickly raced downstairs and stood in front of me.

"Shit, I'm sorry, now that I think about it, what I did wasn't right. But my intentions weren't bad, I just wanted to protect you." I looked into his eyes, they were glassy and filled with remorse, I stopped hugging myself and stepped closer to him. Acting totally on instinct, I took his hands into mine and squeezed.

"It's fine but please don't ever do something like that again."

" I won't," Noah promised.

*********

The drive to Noah's park was excruciatingly long and at some point, I had to tell him to stop so I could stretch my legs, we stopped at a gas station and restocked for the ride. He had tried to make the trip lively by pointing out the different places along the way but I was too tired to care, all I saw were trees and more trees.

Noah pulled into his pack, I had fallen asleep towards the end of the drive so I didn't know when we arrived until he tapped my shoulder.

"Hey, we're here." He whispered, I raised my body and out the window, the sun had set and it was dark, so we must have driven for over six hours, he had parked in front of a huge house surrounded by smaller houses. Noah came to my side of the car and opened the door.

"Thank you but you didn't have to." I thanked him but I wanted him to know that I wasn't a defenseless lady or a damsel in distress that will always need a man to save her. I stepped out of the car and he closed the door.

"I know that but I wanted to." He replied, I looked around and inhaled the deep fresh smell of the forest. The air was clean and fresh, just the way I remembered my pack to be.

He brought a small duffel bag from the trunk of the Bentley, it was the only thing he took when we left the house. I didn't have anything on me except the clothes on my body and my purse. I had asked him to stop at my apartment first so I could get the things I needed but he promised that he would have people get them and that he had already prepared clothes for me.

"Let's go in." He started working towards the house but I stood still, frozen in my legs.

"Aren't you coming?" Noah asked, his eyebrows furrowed, he had stopped when he noticed I hadn't been following him.

"Is this where we're going to be staying? I thought we'll be in one of the smaller houses." There were tons of smaller houses in the pack, why the hell was he taking me to the largest.

"This is where I live which means it's also where you'll live. Let's go in, Storm. I'm tired as fuck. I can barely keep my eyes open." He yawned, affirming his previous statement. I was also tired and I knew that it would be better to go to bed and start asking the questions with a refreshed mind than with a tired one. I walked in with him.

The lights of the house were turned off and Noah turned them on, the deep wave of Noah's scent hit me as I walked in, the house had a homely feel to it. Photos and awards lined the walls, pictures of Noah and his family, at different times and years. Even the art pieces felt like he had chosen them himself. The coffee table had an empty glass and on one of the brown velvet chairs was an opened book. The living room was elegant and classy but it was also well-used and not like the one at the old house that felt like it was for show.

"Do you want something to eat or drink?" Noah asked taking off his coat, I took mine off as well and he collected them from me and hung them in the closet.

I shook my head. " I'm still full from the snacks we got at the gas station. All I want to do now is sink into a tub and soak myself." I moaned at the thought of the cool water around my body.

"I have a Jacuzzi if you want to use it." He suggested. Goddess, what didn't this man have?

"No, I'm too tired for that. I know I'm going to fall asleep in it. I'll just take a quick shower and hop into bed. Where is my room?" I asked. I saw a hot shower and a cool bed in my very near future.

"Our room is upstairs, the last door on the right. Let's go." He started moving but I quickly placed my hand on his chest to stop him.

"Hold up, our room. There's nothing like that, I want, no, I need my own room."

" I'm sorry but I cannot give you that. We have to share a room, we're mates. What's going to happen when we have people around and they find out that we sleep separately? What's going to happen when you go into heat and we need to be together?"

" Firstly, I don't care what people think about me, I cared all my life and nothing good came out of it then secondly, when I go into heat, I'll just go out for runs or take showers. Simple."

Noah burst into laughter. " Do you even know what heat is?"

"Of course I do I've been experiencing it since I was eighteen." I scowled at him, I hope he didn't take me for a fool because he would be making a big mistake.

"That was werewolf heat, you've been mated with a lycan. When lycans go into heat, they nearly go mad and only the touch, smell, and taste of their mate can calm them done. My little rainstorm, if you don't stay with me, you're going to experience excruciating pain during heat." The laughter died in his voice and turned serious. I looked into his eyes to see if he was lying but he wasn't.

I sighed resigned to my fate, " Let's go to our room then."

We entered the room and I was immediately enveloped by his scent, I looked around the room. It was large, and the king-size bed was in the middle of the room, neatly made. The dark shade of his beddings contrasted with the light coloring of the wall. There was no litter in the room and it was so neat that it was sparkling. It was too neat to be natural.

I turned and narrowed my eyes at Noah. "Did you have this room specially cleaned because we were coming?"

He smirked. " I did. I felt you'll feel better sleeping in new beddings and breathing the smell of a freshly cleaned room." He had a point, I enjoyed the fact that he went out of his way to make me comfortable. I thanked him and he directed me to the bathroom which was another masterpiece on its own. I quickly showered and he gave me a shirt to sleep in.

He next day, I woke up to sn empty bed, it was almost noon so I wondered why Noah hadn't woken me up. My heart started to race that Noah had abandoned me, I rushed out of the room and found the house filled with people who stopped what they were doing immediately they saw me.

I approached one of them cautiously, I didn't know or trust them. Immediately I got close to her, she lowered her head, which was a sign of respect, I was surprised why.

"Excuse me, hi, I'm looking for Noah. Have you seen him?" I asked, giving her a small smile.

" Alpha Noah is in a meeting, he'll be out soon." She said in a meek voice, still not meeting my eyes.

Alpha Noah, was Noah an alpha? No, it's can't be, alpha must mean something else to lycans.

  • A Mate For The Lycan   Epilogue

Ten years laterStorm's POV"Let go, it's mine." "No, it's mine." Identical sets of screams came from up the stairs, and soon the screams escalated to stomps and thuds, I took a sip from my glass of wine, waiting for someone to cry first before I climbed up the stairs to deal with them."Mom, aren't you going to do something about that?" I turned to see Fiona, she crossed her arms over her chest and glared at me, she was now a cranky fifteen years old and thought she was better than everyone. Fiona had grown beautifully in the last ten years, she was tall for her age, almost 5'8, her glossy red hair was pulled back in a tight bun, her lips were full and she had the eyes of a seductress. Fiona started calling me Mom when she was six and I remember how hard I cried the first time she said it."I'm waiting for them to draw blood." I glanced at Fiona over and couldn't hold the laughter that shot out of me.Fiona was dressed in a black crop top and short shorts with spiky black boots. Th

Noah's POVThe room had an eerie feel to it, the quickness and the stench of antiseptics made it worse. I walked over to Storm and held her hand. "David, is she fine? Is she hurt anywhere? Does she need surgery? Why is she still unconscious? " I rambled the questions out but my eyes were focused on Storm."She's fine, the impact of the choking caught off the air in her brain for a minute but she's a fighter and so is the baby. She'll be back home in a day or two." He said, my brain had only heard the word baby, what the hell was going on?"Baby, what baby? Who has a baby?" Was he talking about Fiona?David's eyes widened and he cleared his throat."Oh, erm, so I'm guessing you don't know. " He loosened his tie. " Storm is seven weeks pregnant, I don't know why she hasn't told you, she's known since she was three weeks pregnant." My chest ached and my eyes burned, Storm was pregnant and I was going to be a father. How come I didn't know, how could she not tell me?"Noah, are you okay?

  • A Mate For The Lycan   Chapter Seventy-one

Storm's POVThe doorbell rang, and Fiona and I made eye contact over the table, she shrugged and continued eating her pancakes. I headed to the door and opened it. Bianca stood at the other side looking like she had been in a catfight and lost."Hello Storm," Her voice came out raspy and I almost felt like offering her some water."Bianca, it's been a while." I crossed my arms around my chest and took a defensive stance. I was ready to fight her in case she decided to act mad."Can I come in?" She asked, her eyes downcast. She looked tired and worn out." It depends, are you here to cause trouble for me because if you are, I'm sorry but you can't." She shook her head, " I'm not. I came here to apologize." My eyes widened and I stepped back and she entered. I closed the door behind us. Bianca took a seat, I excused myself, and went to prep Fiona, she had finished her breakfast, I put the dishes in the sink and took her up to her room to play with her tab. I returned to the living ro

Storm's POVMom calmed down after a while and King Benedict interrogated my father about Maureen, our late pack doctor. In all my years of knowing that woman, I never expected she could do something like this."Did Maureen tell you who paid her to switch our babies?" He asked.Dad stroked his jaw, his arm around Mom, " I remember the name clearly, she called him Alessio. She said he was very powerful and rich." King Benedict laughed." Alessio, huh? Why am I not surprised? That bastard had been after me since we were born." I raised my eyebrows, confused." Who is he?" I asked."He was my twin brother. He was jealous that I had been born before him, making me the next in line for the throne, he always looked for a way to attack me but I didn't think he would scope so low to give me a dead child." Wow, what a hateful man." What are you going to do to him now that you know the truth?" Dad asked.King Benedict laughed again but this time bitterly. "I can't do anything to a dead man.

Storm's POVNoah explained everything to me about Fiona, I grabbed my phone that had brought me back to the room and left. Fiona rested her head on my lap and played a game on the tab that Noah had gotten her, I still couldn't believe everything that has happened today, I was still trying to figure out how to deal with my new identity then I find out that Fiona was my niece. Could this day get any more complicated?I ran my fingers through Fiona's red hair, I was glad that we were related, I looked at the little girl but now that the king and queen knew she was their granddaughter, I was sure there was no way they were going to let her go back with us. My Lycan growled at that thought, I had become overprotective of her and I didn't want to leave her.A knock came on the door, Fiona raised her head, "Come in," She screeched. The door opened and Noah came in, I turned away. Fiona rushed to embrace him and he raised her and twirled her around, she squealed with joy and he laughed as wel

Storm's POVI felt my heart pumping hard in my chest, it felt like I was running out of oxygen and struggling for breath. King Benedict and Noah had been quiet since Queen Claire started talking, I couldn't understand how they could sit there and listen to her spew this bullshit unless they believed it as well. A million and one thoughts ran through my head, it was impossible for me to be their child, I already had parents, parents who raised me and loved me. I've seen my birth pictures, I might not look a lot like my parents but their blood ran through my veins, and their DNA was encrypted into me."Your majesty, that's impossible, I have parents, I told you about them. My parents love me very much, I can't be your child. Let's say I am your daughter, why the hell will my parents steal your child, they are good people, the best. I will not have you spoiling their good image." I dropped my arms and made eye contact with her. Queen Claire shook her head, " Storm, don't take this the w
