Nora's POV

Over the next few days, more gifts kept coming from the children. We had two rooms filled with gifts and I was considering beginning to reject incoming ones. My babies were loved and constantly spoiled by Ella who loved to help out with bathing them.

“All done,” I announced to myself after changing Arabella's diaper. It was a stressful task at times, changing all four babies but she was the last and I could rest now. A soft knock came on the half open door and I moaned, not in the mood to talk to anybody.

“Come in,” she permitted and the door was pushed fully open by a maid carrying a handful of gifts. I sat up when I saw the new batch of gifts and I didn't know how I felt about it.

“We don't have room for more gifts,” I complained but still got up to relieve her of her burden. “Where am I going to keep all—”

“Sorry for interrupting you, Luna but the gifts are not for the kids. They are for you.”

I went quiet and looked down at the gifts in my arms. There was a box of choc

  • A Mate For The Rogue Alpha   Amy is the traitor

Nora's POV Damien had been gone for two days and like before, I couldn't look at the packhouse the same without him. He called once in a while to check on me but it was not enough. Fortunately, I had my babies to comfort me and they filled my days. I was done feeding Alexander when Lisa burst into my room without knocking. She was sweating and something that suspiciously looked like blood stained her skirt.“Lisa, what's wrong? Is that blood?” I pointed at her skirt and I just noticed that she was crying too. What was going on?“The pack is under attack, my Lady. It's not safe for you here anymore! The guards...” she paused to catch her breath. “The guards left to get reinforcement for you so that they can lead you safely out of the packhouse.”I slammed the door shut and ran back to my babies, fear almost paralysing my movements.“Who is attacking the pack?” Damien, Damien, where are you? Why did bad things always happen when he was away?“The mountain rogues. They came in their nu

  • A Mate For The Rogue Alpha   Nothing wrong

Damien's POV I sat in the living room, watching Nora eat her breakfast. Mine was long gone because I had woken up earlier than her to eat and prepare myself. She didn't know the real reason why I was up before her and I couldn't bring myself to tell her either. She would be so mad at me, that was for sure. “Damien, if you have something on your mind, you know you can tell me, right? I won't judge you,” Nora told me in her soft, innocent voice and my guilt doubled in size. Why was she so understanding when I was such an asshole?“It's...Nora, I have to travel to the human world again.”Her fork fell out of her hand, landing on her unfinished meal. She leaned back in her chair and her silence was louder than anything she could have yelled at me. I didn't like seeing her upset even if I was the one who had upset her.“I'm so sorry that I have to go but things in the clan are getting worse with more werewolves disappearing without explanation.”Nora stood up from the table without fini

  • A Mate For The Rogue Alpha   You look beautiful

Have I told you you look beautiful today?” Nora blushed at Damien's words, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear.“Yes, about a hundred times already,” she teased back, waving at a woman she recognized. “The party is going much better than I expected. There's...a lot of people.”“As expected. It's a party worthy of celebration. It's not everyday a beautiful woman gives birth to four beautiful babies.”“Oh stop,” Nora blushed again, patting Damien on the arm lightly. They were dressed in matching royal blue outfits and Nora had styled her hair in a high ponytail. Two locks fell at the side of her cheeks, framing her lovely face. Speaking of her cheeks, they hurt from smiling so much and she felt like she had smiled enough that day to last a decade. They stood united, she and Damien behind the open double strollers so that guests could take a look at the babies.“Oh, they are so cute,” a pretty lady cooed at them, touching Amanda's tiny fist. “They are like little miniatures of you tw

  • A Mate For The Rogue Alpha   Clean up your mess

Seyric paused for a while and then started nodding, tapping his index finger on the table. “You are right, Alpha. How come I didn't think of this? She was just so nervous and shaky that I assumed we had her caught. Now that we know she is not the culprit, are you going to let her go?”“No,” Damien replied firmly, his plan already carefully crafted out. “If we let her go, the real culprits will know that we are onto them and we don't want that. Let her remain there but find a way to send her some food in the meanwhile.”She had innocently been useful in the crime but she didn't need to suffer for it. Damien was not completely sure if his theory was right so setting her free would be rushing to conclusion.“Keep searching and continue making your findings. The culprits can't be beyond these walls and therefore not so far away from us.”“Yes, Alpha. I'll do my best,” Seyric assured him, sitting up with his hands on the table. “There's something...I didn't want to bring it to your notice

  • A Mate For The Rogue Alpha   How it happened

"So, that's how it happened, according to what Nora told me and the doctor confirmed it too," Damien told Seyric who was nodding his head in understanding. "My mate was poisoned by someone in the packhouse and I must find the culprits behind this whole thing."Damien had left Nora sleeping in her room, not wanting to disturb her. Also, she might not have approved of what he was planning to do."Nora does not remember the maid who served her, so it's going to be tricky," Seyric confessed. "But if we can find the maid who was on duty that day, we might find the culprit.""Summon all the maids in the palace, Seyric and I mean now. The earlier I solve this crime, the faster I can return to my beautiful mate."By evening, all maids in the packhouse were gathered in the courtyard, whispering to them noisily. Any one of them could be the culprit, Damien thought as he watched them from afar. When Seyric gave him the signal nod, he came out from where he had been hiding. There was an absolute
