LOGINAn hour earlier, at the Auberge Resorts
Bianca arrived at the hotel, booked exclusively for the crew, due to its proximity to the filming sets. As she entered the lobby, the receptionist greeted her with a respectful bow. "Good evening, Ms. How may I help you?" Bianca flashed a bright smile. "Hi, I'm Bianca Browns." The receptionist's eyes widened in recognition. "Oh, wow! So great to see you. I'm actually a huge fan of your sister." Inside, Bianca felt a surge of white-hot resentment. Always Alita. The name was a parasite, clinging to everything she touched. But she kept the mask perfectly in place, her voice dripping with honey. "Yeah, everyone loves Alita," Bianca sighed, the words tasting like poison. "She’s just so talented, isn't she?" The girl didn't catch the edge. She was too starstruck. "She really is! A true icon." "Anyway," Bianca pivoted, leaning in with a conspiratorial look. "My sister just called me. She’s in a bit of a panic—she left some very important movie files in her room and needs them immediately. I was nearby, so I told her I’d swing by and grab them." The receptionist didn't even hesitate. She quickly checked for the room number then reached for a plastic key card and slid it across the counter. "Of course! Here you go, Ms. Browns. Room 66, sixth floor." "You're a lifesaver," Bianca purred, taking the card. "Oh, wait!" the receptionist called out, sounding shy. She held out a small slip of paper and a pen. "If you don't mind... could you please give this to her? I would love it if she could sign an autograph for me." Bianca batted her long lashes, looking every bit the supportive sibling. "Of course I can. I'll make sure she gets it." The moment Bianca rounded the corner, the smile vanished. She stared at the piece of paper for a second before ripping it into shreds. She crumpled the scraps into a ball and flicked them into a nearby trash can with a sneer. "You can thank me for this later, bitch," she muttered. "Your precious idol is going down tonight." Flashback ended. The hotel hallways were dim, the plush carpets swallowing the sound of footsteps. Bianca leaned against the wall in a shadowed alcove, her phone pressed tight to her ear. "Everything is ready, babe," she cooed. Her voice had shifted—it was lower now, breathy and thick with anticipation. "It was honestly much easier than I thought. She’s practically walking into the cage." On the other end, a man’s low, gravelly chuckle vibrated through the line. The sound made a shiver of excitement run down Bianca's spine. "And the room?" he asked. "All set," Bianca whispered, her eyes shimmering with malice. "I just can't wait to have her out of the way. Then I can finally have you all to myself. No more distractions. No more 'perfect' Alita." "I can imagine," he replied, his voice dropping to a suggestive growl. "I can't wait to see the look on her face when she realizes she's not alone... and I can't wait to reward you for being such a good girl." Bianca bit her lip, a hungry look in her eyes. "See you tonight ." She ended the call and stared into the empty hallway. "Your doom is here, bitch," she whispered. "Watch out." Unaware of the sinister plot unfolding against her, Alita continued to enjoy her evening, laughing and joking with her colleagues. As exhaustion eventually caught up with her, she made her way back to the hotel. At the reception desk, she collected her room card and headed towards the elevator. In her tired state, she inadvertently held the card upside down and mistakenly headed towards room 99 instead of her actual room, 66. As she approached the door, she tried to insert the card, but to her surprise, the door was already open. A faint frown creased her forehead, but her exhaustion got the better of her. Too tired to investigate further, she pushed open the door and stepped inside. And that was the last thing she remembered about that night...Xavier was currently in the kitchen making breakfast for them. He had an apron around his neck giving him a funny look as he kept on flipping the pancakes on the pan, if Alita could see him right now she wouldn’t believe he was the same being she was hiding away from.“You look so funny in those,” Andria giggled. She was currently sitting on the kitchen counter mouthing on some apples while Andrea sat down quietly watching everything. Unlike his sister, he doesn’t talk much, that is another trait he got from his father.Xavier sighed dramatically before pointing the spatula at Andria.“Keep laughing and I’ll make you wash all the dishes.”Andria burst into another fit of laughter.“You don’t even know how to wash dishes yourself!”“I do.”“You don’t.”“I do.”Andrea simply shook his head before taking another bite of his apple.“So tell us Dad, where have you been all this while, like why haven’t you even visited us for once back in France?” Andrea asked cutely. For the first time in
The only thing she could think of was getting as far away from him as possible. She knew what she had done was a grave mistake. Right now, she wished she could disappear from the face of the earth. It hadn’t even been twenty-four hours since she returned, and she was already regretting ever coming back. She had returned to punish the people who had hurt her—to make their lives a living hell.Instead…She was the one being punished by the devil himself.“How can life be so cruel?” she pouted. She reached for her phone, only to remember she’d left it on the bed before she started undressing.“What am I going to do now?” she muttered.Just then, her eyes lit up when she spotted a public telephone booth across the road. She sighed in relief, hurried over, and dialed her assistant’s number. The call connected after the second ring.“Hello?”“Hi, Maya. It’s me, Alita.”Maya frowned. This was the first time Alita had ever called her from an unfamiliar number.“Alita? What happened?”“I’m scr
After spending the evening with her grandfather on the phone and putting the twins to bed, Alita slowly walked into her bedroom. She smiled as she remembered Andrea and Andria arguing over who their grandfather loved more.“They’re impossible,” she whispered with a tired laugh. She closed the bedroom door behind her. With a long sigh, she removed her blazer and placed it over a chair. Her shoulders finally relaxed. For the first time all day…She was alone.Or so she thought.A strange feeling suddenly crept over her.Someone was watching her.The hairs on the back of her neck stood up.Alita spun around, her breath hitching in her throat.Standing in the shadows of her room was a man every powerful family in the world knew.Tall.Broad-shouldered.He looked less like a man and more like a sculpted god.His face was breathtakingly handsome, with sharp, chiseled features and a jawline that looked as though it had been carved from marble.Piercing ocean-blue eyes stared directly at her,
Bianca’s knuckles turned white as her hands clenched into trembling fists. Her entire body shook with rage. She stood in the middle of her luxurious living room, but all the beauty around her meant nothing. The room suddenly felt too small.Too suffocating.“How dare she…” Bianca hissed through gritted teeth.“How dare she come back after all these years!”Bianca hated watching the news. She always found reporters annoying and celebrity gossip beneath her.But today was different.Today, she sat in front of the television, waiting impatiently to see the mysterious woman who had stolen the biggest opportunity of her career. For years, Bianca had fought her way to the top of the entertainment industry.Everything she had done…Every movie.Every advertisement.Every award. It had all been leading to one dream.A collaboration with Morning Star. When the company first contacted her, she almost cried with happiness. She wasn’t just offered a modeling contract. She had been chosen as the f
SIX YEARS LATER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT — MEXICO CITY 9:30 A.M. Click! Click! Click! Click! The terminal was packed with flashing cameras and shouting reporters. Everyone pushed forward, desperate to get the best view. “Move! Get the camera closer!” one cameraman shouted, shoving another aside. “Do you think she’ll actually say something?” a female reporter asked excitedly. “I heard she doesn’t even speak to most of her managers.” “Who cares if she talks?” another reporter replied. “Just keep your eyes on the runway!” Vrooooom! The loud roar of jet engines echoed through the airport as a sleek matte-black private jet touched down. The tires hit the runway with a heavy thud. The crowd instantly exploded with excitement. “Oh my God!” “She’s here!” “She’s finally back!” A team of tall bodyguards dressed in black suits stepped out first. Their expressions were cold as they quickly formed a protective line. “Stand back!” “Give her space!” the head of security ordered. Th
Maxwell’s Apartment — 10:00 AM Alita walked through the gates of Maxwell’s luxury apartment complex. Since she had been his girlfriend for years, the gatekeeper didn’t question her. He simply smiled politely and opened the gate. “Good morning, Miss Alita.” She forced a weak smile before walking inside. Her heart felt unbearably heavy. Right now… She just wanted someone to hold her. Someone to tell her everything would be okay. She entered the house and slowly lowered herself onto one of the plush white couches in the living room. Her body felt exhausted. Her mind felt empty. “Where’s Maxwell?” she asked the maid, who was dusting a nearby table. The maid froze. The feather duster slipped slightly from her trembling hands. “Oh… the boss…” she stammered. “He… he went on a business trip.” Alita frowned. Something felt wrong. The atmosphere inside the house was strange. Too quiet. Too tense. The maid refused to meet her eyes. “A business trip?” Alita slowly stood.
