Two

Audrey's eyes slowly opened due to the sunlight that penetrated into the cold room. She let out a loud yawn but pains from in-between her legs snapped her out of her sleep.

Reality suddenly hit her hard, and she jumped up from the bed, feeling the sharp pains in between her legs.

"I am as good as dead!" She shrieked in fear.

The fact that she slept out of the house and ended up in bed with a stranger that took her first time was quite alarming yet the most dreaded part was how the hell she was going to explain to her family!

It was real. She wasn't hallucinating. It all happened and she lost it to a stranger.

Lowering her head, Audrey let out her stiffened tears as she tried to put her clothes on. Luckily her clothes were still intact.

As she finished getting dressed, her eyes caught a piece of paper on the bedside table. It was a note with a parcel beside it.

Audrey quickly took the note, knowing this was kept by the stranger who she had a one night stand with. It must be a letter of apology, she mused.

“ Check the parcel."

" It's not his fault either.." She murmured to no one in particular as her eyes went to the blood stained duvet.

Although Audrey hated herself for what happened last night, she couldn't blame the stranger entirely. She could recall how she flung herself at him.

She was still finding it hard to believe what happened. How could she start feeling horny last night? It all began with the drink she took last night.

She was going to meet Manager Frost later in the evening during her shift. She needed an explanation for last night.

Audrey stared at the parcel, then she opened it only to see a written check of one million dollars, with a note attached with it.

"For last night."

She bit hard on her lips, trying to control the rage that was building up inside her.

"Who the hell does he think of me? Perhaps a slut? Does he think I need his damn money!" Audrey yelled, feeling heartbroken.

She took the check and decided to return it back to the man. She was sure the manager would have his contact.

With her heart hurting like hell, she dragged herself to her house to face whatever punishment was awaiting her.

CHAPTER 3

The next morning, Annie went to her mother excitedly. Mrs. Caroline, who had been expecting her daughter's report, looked up.

“ How did it go last night, Annie? Did you do as planned?" Caroline asked, looking anxious.

“ Yes, mother. I am supposed to get the recordings and pictures very soon," Annie replied, excitedly.

“ Put a call through to him right away. Be fast about it. We need to get that wretched whore out as soon as possible."

Annie was about to make a call when she got a call instead. She excitedly answered it but the angry scream from the other end made her stand up.

“ What are you saying, Mr. Santiago? The arrangement was already made and she was supposed to be with you last night," Annie spoke over the phone.

“ I want my money back or you will pay by giving me yourself!" Mr. Santiago threatened before cutting the call.

Annie's face immediately turned pale. She took out her phone and made the call.

“ What the hell happened last night, Mr. Frost?”

Mr. Frost sounded confused. “ What happened-"

“ How come the deal didn't go as planned? You were supposed to make her go to that room!"

“ I specifically told her the room number and even gave her the drink like you ordered, Miss. Annie. She only left the hotel this morning-"

" How is that possible! I gave you instructions- you are so useless!" That was Annie, fuming. She threw her phone away, angrily. Why was that bitch always lucky?

" What happened?”

" Mother, the plan didn't go through. How is that bitch so lucky?”

" If the plan failed, why didn't she come home last night?” Caroline asked, frowning.

“ That bitch must have gone into another room. How do I get my hands on evidence? That's the only way to make Dad hate her!" Annie was getting pissed.

Just then one of the maids came to tell them of Audrey's presence. She just came back this morning. Annie and Caroline immediately sprang out of the room and made their way to the sitting room.

As soon as Caroline saw Audrey, she walked up to her filled with hatred.

"How dare you Audrey!" Caroline yelled as she hit Audrey hard across her face.

Audrey fell to the floor, crying painfully.

“Where were you last night?" She screamed again, kicking Audrey harder this time.

“ I had to work overnight…”

" Audrey, you don't need to lie. You were seen going into one of the rooms last night and only came” that was Annie, acting like the perfect daughter.

“ I-"

" You slut! Wait until dad comes back to learn of your disgraceful way!” Annie sneered.

Audrey was so heartbroken from what happened to her last night and the jerk who wanted to pay her off that she couldn't bring herself to argue. She just wanted to be left alone.

" Why don't you say anything, you worthless trash! What do you think would happen if your father found out about your slutty ways last night?” Her stepmom berated her, seeing her saying nothing.

She had indeed just become a worthless daughter to her father, a daughter who brought shame to him. A daughter that just lost her value.

"Dad, I'm sorry!" She whispered to no one in particular. Her father had gone outstation for a week now and won't be back until another two weeks.

“A whore, that's what you are. Just like your worthless dead mother! Go outside and kneel down until I tell you to come inside!" Her stepmom's face was filled with disgust.

“ Mom-" Audrey said, biting her lips. The weather was getting darker this morning and she was still feeling pains from last night.

“ I am not your mother!"

Another resounding slap landed on her face before she was pushed out of the house. To make matters worse, it began raining so heavily as she shivered in the cold.

Audrey missed her father so much.
