"What's taking so long to make dinner? I'm starving." As soon as I got home and showered, I made my way straight to the dining room.

Even though I know the meal isn't going to be ready since it's just 7 o'clock and I usually eat around 9:30, I figure it's an excellent excuse to annoy Scarlett.

"Sir, you generally have dinner after 9 p.m., so why are you eating so early today?" Upon emerging from the kitchen, Samantha posed a query to me.

"Why can't I eat dinner early at home?" Samantha's habit of asking leading questions drives me crazy, and I often consider firing her because of it. Yet she has been my maid for a long time, and I trust her, so I usually just let it go.

What if I offer Samantha a short vacation? I questioned my subconscious. This maid prevents me from adequately punishing Scarlett.

But if Samantha departs, Scarlett will be left to do all the household chores by herself.

Yes, I desire the same thing.
