Maria sobbed as she lowered her head and let out a quiet sigh, looking at Willow lying on the hospital bed.

"Sorry, Will. I shouldn't have dragged you into my mess. The transplant is very taxing for your health, right?"

Willow smiled as if it were nothing. "It's nothing. As long as it keeps you from being put on the spot, I'm willing to do anything."

He held Maria's hand gently.

"I know you. You're not the kind of person who can let someone die without lifting a finger. No matter how much you hate that kid, if he really died because of this, you'd keep replaying it in your head and torture yourself. I don't want to see you like that."

No matter what happened, Willow just hoped Maria could live well.

"I don't regret doing this for you," he said slowly. "In fact, I'm glad I can help you with this."
