"…Alright."

Richard was silent for a few seconds before he finally said something to Maria, his voice low and heavy with disappointment.

"Then I won't bother you. I'll go now."

He hung the pajamas on the doorknob and left.

When Maria couldn't hear any more sound outside, she let out a sigh of relief, thinking he was gone. However, she was still feeling somewhat uneasy. After hesitating for a moment, she wrapped a bath towel tightly around herself before stepping out, just to be safe.

The second she walked out, a hand suddenly reached in from the side and pulled her over.

Maria yelped out in surprise. Before she could react, she crashed into a warm chest. Richard held her and looked at her with a smile.

Maria was furious. She didn't expect him to try to take advantage of her at a time like this. She raised her hand and slapped him without a second thought.

Richard was caught off guard and took the hit, but he didn't get angry. He only laughed and tapped Maria on the nose.
