Chapter Fifty-Six

“Hey now, you know what that does to me,” he said as I bit my lip.

“Oh, I know. We can’t do anything here, though. We have to be good. Come on and wait for me outside of the dressing rooms. I’ll try this on real quick and we can get out of here.”

I spun around and made my way to the back of the store. There were only three booths to change in and all of them were empty. I chose the one on the right and stepped inside.

My heart was thumping excitedly behind my ribs. Seeing Carter's pupils dilate like that sent a wave of excitement into me. I loved that expression of his. It always got me going, because just about every time I'd ever seen it, he ended up ravaging me sexually.

Before closing the door, I saw Carter take a seat on the chair just outside of the changing room. It kind of made me laugh. I wondered how many thousands of boyfriends had sat in the exact same chair while patiently waiting for their girl to try on clothes.
