Victor POV

 I blink a few times, feeling something move and I quickly realize that it's Ayla untangling herself from our arms. I don't help or hinder because I want to know what's going on.

I notice that Soren is asleep. He used a lot of power to get to Ayla on the stairs. After what Ayla said yesterday, surely the two of them were trying to find each other.

Very carefully, I raise my head and see that Ayla is walking around the room, looking lost, not knowing where she is. I get up quietly and go to the door leading to my room, stepping back as my mate walks past.

My room still has a lot of leaves and dust, but it's recovering. Ayla goes over to the table we used to sit at in the beginning.
