MILES' POV

The arena is alive with energy. Bright LED lights flash across the field, and the distant chatter of the crowd hums in the air. The inter-pack games are about to begin, and as the host Alpha, I should be focused. I should be projecting an image of calm and unshakable power.

I step into the arena with Roxy at my side, her arm looped through mine, but something in my chest feels tight and wrong. My wolf paces inside me, restless and angry, but I cannot figure out why until I see Rhea.

She is standing near the starting line with the game teams, clipboard in hand, giving instructions to them. It is her Luna duties, but it is Yuri beside her that makes my blood boil. The way he leans in when she speaks, the way his eyes never leave her face, and the way her blonde hair catches the light as she laughs at something he has said.

My fingers curl into fists before I can stop them, my nails biting into my palms. The pain is a welcome distraction from the sudden, inexplicable rage burn

  • A Stolen Fate   Alpha's Desperation

MILES' POV"Rhea!"I barely wait for the SUV to stop before I throw the door open and leap out. I am standing in front of the imposing and ancient-looking Moon Crescent Packhouse, feeling that Rhea might be inside there somehow. My heart is hammering in my chest as I shout her name with all the desperation that has been building inside me for weeks."RHEA!" I roar as my wolf urges me forward. "RHEA!"He wants her as badly as I do. No---more. He never fell for Roxy's deception and never stopped recognizing Rhea as our true mate. I was the fool who let manipulation cloud my judgment, who let hatred blind me to what was right in front of me all along. My head still floats from all that amount of hatred and conniving messages I read on Roxy's phone. All the things she and her mother had orchestrated in this pack.I am still confused about it all, still trying to get clarity. But now, I need to see Rhea. I need to talk to her.As I stride toward the entrance, four Gamma warriors materializ

  • A Stolen Fate   The Confession

ROXY'S POVThe slap burns across my cheek like fire, and for a moment, the world is nothing but white-hot pain and a ringing in my ears. Stars explode behind my eyes and the sterile white room goes foggy, and I reel as my head snaps to the side. Did he just hit me? Alpha Miles Mondragon just slapped me across the face. I touch my fingers to my cheek, feeling the heat pulsing beneath my skin as I slowly turn back to face him. This is not the Miles I know. Not the man I have twisted around my finger for months. This is an Alpha, cold and furious. His eyes are different now. They are cold, hard, and completely unrecognizable. The warm grey that once looked at me with affection and need is now replaced with something else, something predatory. I have never seen him like this before."I am going to ask you questions," he says, his voice dangerously low. "And you are going to tell me the truth. If you lie to me again, what just happened will feel like a gentle caress compared to what comes

  • A Stolen Fate   The Slap of Truth

MILES’ POVI stand outside Roxy’s hospital room, my hands clenched into fists in my pockets. The phone with all the damning evidence is tucked into my pocket. Four days have passed since I discovered her deception, four days of investigating, of connecting dots, of letting my rage simmer to a precise, controlled point. Now I am ready. Ready to confront the woman who has lied to me, manipulated me, and made a fool of me in front of my entire pack.“Alpha Miles,” Dr. Harrow says as she approaches. “I was just about to call you.”I straighten my shoulders, forcing my expression to remain neutral. “How is she?”“Physically, she is fully recovered,” she says, flipping through her notes. “The head injury was a minor concussion that has been resolved. Her stab wounds... are healing remarkably well.”Too well, I want to say, but I keep that thought to myself.“Then why is she still here?” I ask.Dr. Harrow shifts uncomfortably. “She refuses to leave. Says she is not well enough.” She lowers h

  • A Stolen Fate   Roxy's Stabber

MILES’ POVThe weight of my father’s words settles over the room for almost a minute. I go back and sit at the head of the long oak desk, my entire body tense. Evans leans against a shelf with a notebook already in his hand while Rico paces like a caged wolf. The Children of the Dagger, Lance Chapman, a war I never knew was fought, is clawing its way out of a shallow grave, and my wife is out of my sight, unaware of the danger she might be in. My knuckles ache, and I look down to see that my claws are now dug into the surface of my oak desk. I force my hand to relax, leaving deep gouges in the wood.It is Rico who finally breaks the heavy silence. “So, how did Lance end up getting married to Lolita?” he asks bluntly. “If he and Mildred were true mates, how did that happen?”Father exhales, rubbing his temple as if bracing himself. “Lance and Lolita were already seeing each other before he found Mildred. When the bond hit, he broke things off with Lolita.”“She must not have taken that

  • A Stolen Fate   The Man Donovan

MILES' POV"Tell me everything," I demand, tapping fingers on the desk. "From the beginning."My father takes a deep, weary breath, the sound of an old man carrying a burden for too long. "It is a long story, Miles. A story I had hoped was dead and buried." He sinks back into the chair, the fight draining out of him, replaced by a deep sadness."It began over twenty years ago," he says. "Lance Chapman was one of my junior gammas. A skilled fighter, loyal to a fault. During those days, it used to be inter-regional games. And just like us now, Moon Crescent were mostly the hosts because they always won.""Did he meet his mate there or something?" Rico asked.Father nods. "During one of those games, Lance met Princess Mildred, Alpha Finnick's daughter. They were true mates. But she was already promised to someone else. Donovan Grigorovich, the son of Alpha Finnick's beta. The betrothal had been arranged since Mildred's birth, because Finnick trusted his beta, and Donovan would be a great

  • A Stolen Fate   Children of the Dagger

MILES' POV "Wiped who out?" Evans asks, stepping forward. My father looks up at me. Then his gaze shifts from me to Evans, then to Rico, as if seeing us for the first time. "The Children of the Dagger," he says. "Donovan's people.""Donovan?" I repeat. The name is unfamiliar to me. I exchange a confused glance with Rico, who just shrugs, equally lost. "Who is Donovan?"Father closes his eyes briefly, as if the memory is physically painful. "Someone I hoped was long dead," he answers. "Someone who is entitled enough to want our family destroyed."Evans, however, takes a step forward. "Sir, that name is not in any of our records. It is not in the pack archives or in the council database.""It would not be," my father says, and I feel his anger. "I buried that history.""Why have I never heard of him?" I demand, leaning forward on my desk. "Why was I not informed of a group powerful enough to organize an attack of this scale?" More secrets, more things kept from me.My father's eyes mee
