There was a loud muscular horsy voice shattering the walls of the castle. The walls had started cracking, but it seemed the cracks and the vibrations were heard only in the bedroom. There was no movement outside the king’s room.
“My Lord! I am your humble servant.” Gideon purred like a hungry cat seeing its master, kneeling in front of the unknown figure.

THE NEXT DAY The next day felt different. Hopeful, so to say. We had been sitting in the lunch tables for what felt like forever. My eyes were scanning each and every one, taking in information. I was a good listener, just a weird one. No one noticed, but I could focus on so many things at a time. I was deep into multitasking. “Yo, you good, you look dead tired, like you haven't slept for days?” Suddenly I was taken by that simple act.
