I tried to keep my composure as I watched the blood drain from Leila’s face. She had obviously never even thought that she would be sharing her fiancee with someone else.

It had been several years since anyone had used this title. Since werewolves preferred to marry their destined mate, it was rare when a consort was brought in the family picture as the title of consort was the second most powerful in the entire pack. Slightly inferior to Luna, but still very powerful.

I would have never agreed to it when Adrian brought it up if Mom was still not in danger. I could not help but keep worrying about her well being as Lorenzo and Leila were clearly not respectful people who cared about others.
