Chapter 9

Hailec looks so different from how he looks like the last time I saw him.

Yeah, he sure looks creepy before but that was just because he keeps on looking at me!

But now, the guy in front of me is creepier than that creepy schoolmate in my memory.

I've already come to peace that the people here wear some weird clothes. Like the one I'm wearing. My dress looks like a blazing fire! Although it still looks nice and classy.

But Hailec's outfit is on another level of creepiness. He wears an all-black outfit and a moss-green cloak. The hood of his cloak is visible from the back of his head and he was followed by men wearing the same outfit but the difference is that the color of their cloaks is a lot lighter than Hailec's.

His face is also very pale and was that an eyeliner in the corner of his eyelids?

Although he still looks great, his presence and aura is giving me an eerie feeling.

I unconsciously held on Cool's shirt tighter and slightly hid myself behind him.

The two guys noticed what I was doing. Cool just gaze at me for a while before he returned his gaze on the man in front of him. But Hailec chuckled upon seeing my actions.

"Looks like the Princess is afraid of me," he said with an annoying smirk on his face.

"Go away, Baylan." Cool coldly said with a warning voice.

"You're a glacia, how can you stay here?" Hailec said with a playful smile this time.

"It's none of your business."

"Let's see about that," Hailec remarked and meaningfully stared at me, when suddenly one of the men following him approached him and whispered something on his ears.

He listened to his subordinate while smirking at us. One of his eyebrows raise and he nodded while listening. The guy who went to him went back to his original place at the back and silently blended in with the others.

"I'll see you around, Princess," he said before giving a curtly bow and left the halls, his subordinates following after him.

"Why is he here?"

"He's a Fantasian too, Fhyra. He's the Punong Baylan." Cool said while we were staring at the backs of the men in those cloaks.

"Punong Baylan? What's that?" I asked as I turned my head on him to question.

"Baylans are the healers here. They were held of great importance in the whole Narte Fantasia because of their abilities to cure and heal. And that guy was the head of that tribe." Cool managed to say as we continued walking along the halls.

"Tribe? What? Is this some kind of a cult or something?"

"Sure, think of yourself as a cult member then. You have the ability to control fire right?" he sarcastically remarked with his left brow raising.

I rolled my eyes at him, because of that.

"What are those tribes are for, anyway?"

We stopped walking in front of a door, he opened it and a delicious smell immediately welcomed me. The smell making my stomach churned.

Oh, I'm really starving!

"You eat first," he said as he guides me to a seat. Many servants wearing the same clothes as Ignis, attended to us and serve some foods.

I started eating while Ice continued talking.

"There are four tribes in Narte Fantasia." He said and raised four of his fingers in the air.

"First, the Flamis, yours and your mother's tribe. Flamias has the ability to control, produce, and extinguished fire," he explained and put one finger down.

"Next is the Glaciers, it's my and your father's tribe. We have the ability to control water at all states, be it frozen or boiling."

I finished munching the food on my mouth before I ask him one of the questions I've been curious about since I saw my parent's story.

"If my father is a Glaciers, glacia, whatever. Why can't I control water like you?"

"That, I'm not sure about. Maybe you just inherit your mother's abilities," he answered which I responded with a nod. I then gestured him to continue.

"Third is the Baylans, which I already explained earlier, they are healers and they are also the advisors of the royalties."

"Royalties?" I asked curiously, he nodded and continued explaining.

"Royalties is like the equivalent of a council or a government in the mundane world." I nodded upon understanding what he meant.

"Royalties are composed of both Flamis and Glaciers. Queen Feu, your maternal grandmother is a member of the Royalties, and also your paternal grandmother." he licked his lower lip when he saw my confused look. I don't quite understand what he just explained, does he mean that all of my family members are part of that so-called 'royalties'?

"Okay, to make it a lot more comprehensible for you, I hope you do realize that your parents are both Princess and a Prince, right?" I nodded and put another spoon of food in my mouth.

"The members of the royalties are all from the royal families of the tribes. Is it clear now?" I nodded and finished the last piece of my food. Another servant immediately came and cleaned it right after.

I smiled and thanked her, but she just bowed down curtly and hurriedly went back to what I supposed to be the kitchen.

"Fhyra," Cool called out that took my attention.

"This is the most important part. The fourth tribe, the Darkess. This tribe is a threat to everyone, even to humans. These darkess have the ability to destroy, to annihilate anything and anyone. Remember the night of your birthday? Those who came to get you are from this tribe."

My eyes watered a little when I recalled what happened that night.

"Have my parents---" I can't even finish my words when I saw Cool shook his head immediately.

"I don't think so. I'm not sure where they are right now, but Fhyra, your parents are powerful more than you think. I'm sure they survived somehow. And the Darkess just came to get you." he said in an assuring voice.

"But why would they want to take me?"

"Because you are the living prophecy, Fhyra. You are the only one who can stop the coming war."

"But why me?" I asked confused and frustrated.

"You are the only Fantasian with a Flamia and Glacia blood, Fhyra. And not to mention that you're parents are one of the legends of each tribe."

"How 'bout you?" I asked all of a sudden.

"Why are you with me? Why do my parents trust you much?" I continued when I saw the confusion on his face.

"I'm one of your guardians, Fhyra. I'm included in the prophecy as well," he said and my eyes widened when I saw him opening the buttons of his ocean blue shirt.

I was about to scream when I saw what he wanted to show me.
