THURSDAY.

"Where are we going?"

Aiden nudges his head into his car, telling me to get in.

No word was spoken since I trailed after him back to this parking lot.

He's holding the door, more like trying to crush it under the weight of his hand. New emotion unlocked. Anger.

"You said it'll be working then the project. We're leaving your office. I want to know where you're taking me too, or else I'm not getting into that car."

I fold my hands. He relents and then lets go of the passenger seat.

"My penthouse. We're going to work in my penthouse."

"Like hell. I'm not going to your house, Aiden."

"I'm not staying here either. Where else would you rather go?"

I eyed him, cross-referencing all the places and striking them out. I'm not bringing him to my apartment. God forbid that ever happens.

Bella is at work. She owns and manages her bakery. One of the biggest in the city.

I would've gone to Dean Construction, but my father is there signing a deal off.
