He responded with calm determination, his eyes never leaving mine.

"You're weak, Aaron," I spat. "If you run, it means you're choosing your own life over hers. You're not a true alpha!"

Aaron's eyes gleamed, and he growled, "I am a true alpha."

"And I will never leave Chloe. She is my mate, my love, my everything."

We continued to fight, our bodies colliding and exploding with ferocity. The forest trembled with the strength of our magic and limbs, and the air was thick with the smell of sweat and blood.

Suddenly, we were interrupted by a voice, and we both turned to see Chloe standing behind us, her eyes wide with fear and confusion.
