CHAPTER 13
The semester is about to end. However, Keira felt bad that she’s been avoiding her best friend for quite a while now despite Zane telling her sorry any chance he gets. Not that she completely ignores him, but she’s just feeling awkward being her usual self around him especially after the rejection. She’s trying. However, it’s making her a bit sad that Zane has been spending more time with Tyr and Zeev a lot lately and she’s blaming herself a little for that.
Today, she is supposed to go visit Zane’s home, so they can catch up. But she was a little surprise to see Tyr and Zeev outside his best friend’s doorstep. Such sight is not weird, only unexpected. So, she just left when Zane went out of the house and walked with them, Zeev leisurely resting his arm on her best friend like they’re the closest of friends.

The afternoon sun casted long shadows of trees on the ground. The leaning rays of setting sun glazed warm and orange tinge to the sky. Summer is indeed here as Zane’s entire body feels the warm temperature rising. But that’s not only because of the season. After the incident during the full moon, Tyr and Zane had gotten a lot closer than before; no more empty conversations between their eyes, awkwardness had gone from little to almost none, and Tyr being extra attentive at Zane’s every little thing.
