Albert’s eyes widened immediately on hearing those words from Annabel’s mouth but he immediately recovered.

“I… had… no idea,”He stammers nervously.

“I mean,”Albert cleared his throat,Annabel wondered why he was nervous.

“I wasn’t expecting her to come here,”He admits with an awkward smile.

“Oh! That’s why you were surprised that she came” Annabel sheepishly smiled.

“Exactly!”Albert nodded, agreeing with her.

“So what did she say she wanted?” He asks, raising one of his eyebrows.

“She didn’t really say anything, she told me she was your fiancé and left”Annabel uttered with a bright smile on her face.

“If I may ask, what are you smiling about?”Albert suspiciously asked, noticing the printed smile on her lips.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t realise I was smiling that much”Annabel immediately bowed her head.

“It’s no problem,”Albert chuckles, making Annabel feel a bit embarrassed.

“I just wanted to know what you were smiling about,” he added.

“I… was… just.. happy”Annabel admits stuttering a bit.
