Lena knocked softly before stepping inside the room, carrying a glass of water in one hand. "You okay?" she asked gently, glancing around. Isabel sat near the edge of the bed, arms resting on her legs, eyes unfocused.

"I'm fine," Isabel muttered.

Lena didn't look convinced. "It's almost time for your hospital check-up again, remember? You'll need to go in soon."

Before Isabel could reply, another knock came at the door. A heavier one. They both looked up as it slowly opened, and Isaac stood there.

Lena turned, then glanced between them, immediately sensing the tension in the air. "I'll be downstairs," she said, quietly excusing herself.

Isaac stepped inside, closing the door gently behind him.

"I didn't hurt her," Isabel said first, her voice cold, but steady.

"I didn't say you did," he replied calmly.

She scoffed. "But you didn't question it either when she said it, so you're insinuating."

"Isabel..." he let out a deep breath, pressing his fingers against his temp

"What are you doing?" She asked when she saw him shift a little. "We didn't come here to sleep," he teased. She way he'd him closely. He moved closer, one knee pressing into the mattress beside her thigh. “You’re doing good.” Her mouth parted. “What are you going to do to me?” He didn’t answer. Instead, she heard a sound. A sharp metallic clink and then the low slide of leather. “What was that?” “My belt.” Her breath caught. “You’re going to hit me?” “No.” She could feel the mattress shift as he moved. “Then why…” He leaned down until his mouth brushed her ear. “Because I want you to know I could.” Her body stiffened. He kissed her cheek gently. “But I won’t,not unless you ask for it.” The belt dropped to the floor with a quiet thud. She jumped slightly. “You okay?” he asked. She whispered, “Green.” “Good girl.” She swallowed hard. He trailed a single finger down her arm, then across her ribs, slow enough to make her squirm. “Keep your legs cl

Isaac led her toward the bed slowly, their fingers locked. The second her knees touched the edge, he turned her to face him, then reached for the silk blindfold on the box. “Let’s start here.” Her lips parted. “I don’t know…” He brought the blindfold to her face, his voice low. “Just this for now. You’ll still hear me. You’ll still feel me. Nothing more.” She inhaled slow, then nodded. “Words, Isabel.” “Okay.” He wrapped the silk gently around her head, tying it behind her. It was soft, almost warm against her skin. Her fingers curled around the edge of the mattress behind her as she blinked into nothing. His hands touched her waist, pulling her top up inch by inch. “Hands up.” She lifted her arms. The fabric lifted over her head and disappeared. Her breath caught the moment his palms slid over her bare stomach, up to her ribs, then back down. He didn’t even touch her bra, just let his thumbs drag slow across her skin. “Cold?” he asked. She shook

She thought deeply about it. "I guess you can say that I didn't," she pulled away to look up at him, "why are you asking?" "I don't know, I just..." He scratched the back of his neck nervously, "it feels like I'm in a dream and what we have now is temporary but I just want to do everything I can with you in this short time and..." She cut him off, putting her arms around his neck and standing on her tiptoes to give him a kiss. "Let's do it," she smiled when she pulled away. "Great, there's nothing to pack so..." "Wait," her brows furrowed, "we are going now?" "Yes, one more minute here and I can just tell you will change your mind," he said. She almost laughed, "but it's the damn middle of the night." "Exactly," he grabbed her by the wrist, “so we have no time to waste." As he tugged her toward the door, she shook her head, "so we're just going to pretend your crazy wife didn't just pop in minutes ago and-" He cut her off by opening the door. “Isabel.” She

Isabel stepped back, her arms folded tight, brows furrowed. “What are you doing here?” Vera’s face was wet with tears already, her lipstick smudged at the edges. “How dare you,” she shouted, her voice shaking. “After everything I’ve done, after everything, I sacrificed to be with him!” Isabel raised a brow but didn’t move. “You done crying or…” Vera let out a wail like she’d just lost her mind. “You stole him from me! You think you're better than me? You think he loves you?” She lunged, hand raised to slap her across the face. Isabel didn’t even flinch. The door swung open. Isaac stepped in and caught Vera’s wrist midair. His jaw was clenched. “Enough.” She froze, her arm still locked in his grip. “Why?” Vera’s voice cracked. “Why are you always protecting her?” Isaac let go of her slowly. “How did you even find me?” She blinked hard. “I followed you. I knew you’d run off somewhere, I just knew i, and when I saw the photo online, I just...I lost it!” She gr

She pulled her bra back on, fumbling a little with the clasp, still catching her breath. Her hair stuck to her neck, and the room was too quiet. Isaac was slipping his shirt over his head when she turned toward him. “We didn’t address the actual issue,” she said, voice still rough. “You posting that damn photo and letting it go viral.” He looked up, jaw tense. “I didn’t post it.” She scoffed, bending to pick her jeans off the floor. “You expect me to believe that?” He stepped closer, dragging his zipper up. “I swear. If that picture’s out there, it means someone was watching us. That’s why I brought you here. We’re not safe until we know who it was.” She stood still, holding her shirt in her hand. “So someone was watching... and instead of warning me, you dragged me into the woods like I’m some secret you need to hide?” “I’m trying to protect you.” She shook her head, rubbing her temple. “You and that word…” He sighed and leaned against the edge of the counter. “You

She blinked fast, her chest still rising too quick. “Go to hell.” He didn’t flinch. “Been there. Still didn’t feel worse than watching you walk away.” She froze. His thumb stayed right there between her thighs, warm and unrelenting. “You hate me that much, but your body never lies.” “Shut up.” “Say you don’t want me right now and I’ll stop.” Her throat tightened. She tried to push his hand away but her fingers barely closed around his wrist. “You think this fixes anything?” “No,” he said, low. “But it’s the only thing that makes the pain shut up.” She pressed her forehead against his chest, her breath hot, uneven. “You shouldn’t touch me.” “I know.” His hand didn’t move. “Then why are you still doing it?” “Because I miss you so bad I don’t know how to breathe.” Her hands curled into his shirt. She bit the inside of her cheek so hard it almost bled. “I’m not okay.” “I know,” he whispered, leaning closer. “Me either.” She didn’t kiss him. He didn’t ask. T
