Kieran's POV

      She’s gone. It was her destiny anyway, so I was not surprised she was gone in the blink of an eye. Serena and Silas were being carried away by the guards and put in a room where they could rest until they prepared a grave for them.

      An I'm sorry and I love you was all she said, not even an attempt to properly say goodbye. In a swift moment, she was taken from me. 

     “What happened?” I asked my mother as she walked towards me and hugged me. 

      “Illyria tried to use a potion to make her parents human again, and it didn’t work
