Chapter two (Part one)

CHAPTER TWO

FEBRUARY 14th 2012

        Tiara works as a part timer in a pastry shop down her street. She stopped thinking about Thomas but suddenly remembers him today because of the date,February 14th! The day she met a mysterious boy in some Valentine party. The fact that she met Thomas on the same day she got stood up by Kyle's cousin made her forget about the rejection part,she kept only the memory of Thomas,it felt weird that she hasn't seen him again,not even walking past him by chance or seeing him from afar at least.

          Tiara's boss,Mrs Buckley walks to her and tells her that her friend is here again,Mrs Buckley could have been complaining a lot about Kyle's frequent visits but kyle patronises her business a lot. The middle aged woman gives Tiara permission to go talk to her friend and continued with the arrangement of the breads.

           "Why are you here this early? You know I work here and it's not some place for visitation by friends" she says and drags a chair to sit beside Kyle.

               "Sometimes I wonder why you nag a lot like an old granny" Kyle brings out a white handkerchief from her bag and wipes an invisible tears,her eyes looks dry for someone crying.

               "What's up with this morning drama? I know you ain't crying so drop the pretentious act this morning". She removes the handkerchief from her face since she has been caught in the act.

            " I broke up with my boyfriend." Tiara was fed up with kyle,she just keeps dating and breaking up with different guys,she has dated almost every guy in and outside college to give an exaggeration.

      "Again? You keep doing this these days. I'm tired already,stick to one" Tiara tells kyle.

              "Well,I would have listened to your advice if you have experience even a tiny bit of dating but you haven't" she smiles and shakes her head while staring at Tiara pitifully. Tiara keeps rejecting all the guys that came her way, searching for the "perfect one " she would always say but deep down inside she knew she was just looking for excuses while searching for Thomas.

      "That guy double dated,like he dates another girl while dating me,me! How dare he do that to me! He left me heart broken a day to Valentine. Now I'm here on a Valentine's day morning, sad. As sad as a little rabbit who lost his mom" kyle says.

           "What are you saying? Sad as a little rabbit who lost his mom? Where did you get that lame line? Tiara knows there's a reason behind this early morning drama from the drama queen herself.

        " so I bought tickets to watch a boy band sing,I bought it so I could go there with my boyfriend but it's sad ending now" . Story cut short,Tiara knows that Kyle would want her to go with her now that she's a lone wolf. She agreed since she didn't have anywhere to go on Valentine's night or maybe she is just avoiding too much pleas from Kyle.

      The basement hall where the band performs was small and nice,they played cool songs,the place wasn't anything close to crowded but they were few couples cuddling their partners. They sat down close to the band.Tiara looked around the hall,she felt the coolness of the night.

             "You don't always have to hang out with your boyfriend, we can go out on our own girlfriend. Valentine day isn't just for lovers,I can hang out with you because I love you." Kyle said giving herself some words of encouragement, consoling herself while pretending to be consoling Tiara.
