Chapter eight

She looked at his face and was pleased to see how shocked he was to see her there. She held onto his suit tightly, not letting it go at all.

“What the hell are you doing? What is the meaning of this?” He asked with anger while staring daggers at her.

“I won't let you go! You have to listen to what I want to tell you, if not I promise to create an embarrassing scene here” Savannah looked around her and observed that everyone was trying to mind their business by diverting their gaze to something else.

“Are you perhaps insane?!” Andy was irked already, even though he didn't mean to yell, he couldn't help himself. “Okay, let's go upstairs and talk like two mature adults''

He squinted his eyebrows while staring at her. Savannah slowly released his suit and he sighed in relief, then shook his head slightly while climbing the stairs.

He walked towards the elevator and waited for her to stand beside him, then pressed the button for the sixth floor, which is the VIP area of his restaurant. None of them said a word to each other until they arrived at their destination, he tried to fathom what exactly she wanted to discuss with him, but he couldn't.

Placing his hand on the door behind the door knob, it opened in an instance. Savannah was astounded and flabbergasted on the sight she just witnessed but tried her best to hide that from him.

He walked into the room and she followed suit without being asked. Andy sat down on the couch in the big room which looked nothing like a room to Savannah, the magnificence of the room made her gasp for breath ; it was like she was living in a dream Land.

The floor and walls were all made with white marble, the bed was colossal, her eyes traveled to the curtains and a broad smile took over her lips.

“My usual and make it fast.” Andy said to someone over the line with his phone placed firmly on his right ear. His voice pulled her out of her reverie and she looked at Andy as he stood up, heading to a bar in his room, he came back later with a bottle of drink and two glasses.

He placed the glasses on the table and then poured the drink into the two glasses. “Have a seat.” He said and sat back on the sofa while waiting for her to do the same.

“I don't mind standing.” She said and folded her hands below her chest.

“I would rather ask you to sit down and have something to eat first, then we can calmly talk about your reason for coming to my restaurant.”

He offered with his eyes fixated on her, he couldn't deny the fact that Savannah was really a beautiful lady, he found himself admiring her.

“Thank you, but I don't have the whole day for this, I have other things to do.” She rolled her eyes at him, she wanted to say her reason for coming over here as her heart was already palpitating rapidly.

“Okay, if you insist.” He replied while relaxing on the couch, after a few seconds, when she still didn't say a word, he arched his eyebrows at her. Savannah cleared her throat, trying to sound as bold and confident as she had planned with Lucy, she didn't intend to sound nervous at all.

“Look Andy, I ain't asking you to marry me nor do I ask you to have a commitment to me, all I want is for you to take care of the child after it's born, and I will leave your life with the assurance that you will take care of our child.”

Savannah was relieved after saying those words, it felt as though a burden had been lifted from her.

“Is this your reason for coming all the way to my restaurant?” He asked her with a light chuckle.

“Yes, that's my reason.” She answered slowly as she felt her confidence slipping out of her control, she felt her heart shattering into a myriad of pieces yet again, she didn't want to believe that this man in front of her was about to reject and deny her for the second time.

Her boldness and confidence were slipping from her already, but she decided to act strong for her baby at least.

“Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I can't do that. The baby you are carrying isn't mine, how can I accept the child when I am sure I ain't the father.” He said, while scrutinizing her face keenly, trying to see her reaction.

“You can…” He was still talking when a knock on the door made him swallow his words. He took a remote which was laying on the table and pressed a button and the door opened.

A waitress walked in with a tray filled with appetizing, anyone who perceives its alluring aroma would begin to salivate, but Savannah didn't even spare a glance at the food on the tray. Andy's words were like a pang in her heart.

Moreover, the waiter left, leaving the both of them to themselves again. Savannah built up her shattering courage and decided to use her last strategy on him.

“Andy, I will report this to the media if you don't do something about this, I don't think I have to tell you in detail about the consequences of this being leaked to the media, remember you have a lot to lose.”

She dropped the bombshell, and his reaction was undoubtedly what she had anticipated. Andy's hands were tied, he didn't know what to say or do, his reputation was everything to him. It wasn't at all that easy for him to build such an unstained reputation for years, and he couldn't let her ruin everything he built.

He sighed deeply and rubbed his temple with his eyes closed. He has to come up with a solid solution to this problem for now. Opening his eyes, he fixed his gaze on her for a few seconds before saying, “Move in with me.”

That was the only solution he could come up with.
