Jaxon stopped his car in front of the building that housed Hadley's apartment.

"Do I have to come in with you?" He asked as she hung her bag on her shoulder.

"You couldn't even pick me up, a gentle man wouldn't ask questions. He'd just act." Serena pointed out.

"I said I was busy," Jaxon folded his lips into a thin line, he was resting in his hand on the raised compartment between their seats and leaning to her side a bit.

"With your web development thingy," Serena made some spider movements with her fingers.

Jaxon sat up, "oh my God, you do remember. I forgot to ask you, how's your internship going and your uncle and aunt?"

Serena froze for a second, she had told him that? She could remember faintly, she had mentioned it at the dinner. "What internship?"

"I also remember you not agreeing that you were drunk when you told me about it." He chuckled.

"I don't know what you're talking about," she scratched her hair and moved the ones that were over her shoulders backwards.
