They both were standing in the middle of the road, at some distance from her family's house. They were holding each other closely as his arms were wrapped around her and she was holding tightly onto his shirt.
She was afraid of the unknown, she was doubtful if she did the right thing and was conflicted cause of all that. She was afraid of being too happy as whenever she was, something bad always happened to her.
"Darling, you're not alone..." He whispered lightly and she closed her eyes. His voice seemed to take away all her worries and she let all her emotions out and started crying harder.
He knew what she was going through as he could read her emotions and feelings.
"I'm here for you okay, you're not alone anymore..."

"It's so nice to meet you again," A girl said as she laid her bag on the table. The rest of the people who had already arrived greeted her just as they had for others. It had been 3 years since they last saw each other, which was on the last day of high school, and now the president of the batch 2017 had contacted all of them and invited them to the reunion. Everyone was laughing loudly and enjoying themselves; talking about the old times and how they had been doing after that. In the corner sat a quiet girl, brown eyes and black hair, she was pretty but the aura around her was dark enough to keep them away. “Evelyn! Come and sit with us, it’s been so long, you can’t just stay quiet the whole time.” The president called out to her and she smiled lightly.
