I considered unleashing chaos, but instead chose a slower, more calculated revenge. Who would believe my story, anyway? But if I could just get Steven on that stage, I can also pull him down. The thought fueled my determination.

"As the General Manager of this company, I wholeheartedly endorse Mr. Hales' decision," I said, meaning every word. With that, I turned to leave.

Stepping out into the crisp air, I took a deep breath. I was going to get back every single thing he owed me, even my time would be paid back in full. I promised myself.

The rain poured against the windows as I navigated the city's streets, finally I pulled into the office building parking lot. I rubbed the stubborn tears still following down my face and rushed to Steven's office. I was here to retrieve my architecture designs. Every house and estate sold by this company had been crafted and designed by me and my team. For years, I had allowed Steven to take credit for my work, but those days were over.

I quickened my pace, hoping against hope that he had somehow forgot to change their location. My heart pounded in anticipation as I reached his office door and pushed it open.

I frantically rummaged through old files, finally, my fingers stumbled upon the hidden safe. With trembling hands, I entered my birthday as the password and the safe's lock swung open.

The contents of the safe lay before me, but it was the memories that the open safe evoked that cut deepest. Steven had told me that everything he owned was secured with this date, my birthday. Such a liar, who knew what this date really meant, tears flowed down my eyes, the pain of his betrayal threatened to overwhelm me, but I steeled myself, focusing on the task at hand.

I finally laid my hands on the folder containing my designs. Clutching it tightly to my chest, I felt a rush of triumph but it was short-lived. The sound of footsteps echoed outside the office. Just as I had suspected, he had come for the designs too. So immediately after our fallout, the only thing that mattered to him was not me, he did not search for me to apologize or explain, he had run for the designs.

I scanned the room for a safe place to hide, but every corner seemed exposed. I needed to distract him, but how.

Think Alexa, think, my mind raced for a solution.

I quickly stripped off my clothes, leaving myself completely naked. I went to his wine cabinet and picked a bottle of Vodka, drank some sips and quickly ran to his chair. I slid the files onto the floor under my discarded dress and buried my face in my hands, I allowed myself to cry, raw and unrestrained sobs.

Soon after, the door swung open, and Steven's voice cut through my tears.

“Alexa!” his voice a mixture of confusion and surprise. He stood frozen for a moment, his expression shifting as he took in the scene before him. “What are you doing here?”

As the tears flowed, I looked at him, my heart aching with the need for answers. “Why, Steven? Why would you choose another woman over me? Did our years mean nothing to you?” I screamed, pointing the bottle of Vodka at him.

He ran a hand through his hair, his expression shifting from shock to guilt. “I… I didn’t mean for you to find out like this. I wanted to tell you,” he stammered, his eyes darting around the room as if he were searching for a way out. “It’s complicated.”

“Complicated?” I shouted. “Unbelievable, you have had a wife and kids this entire time, Steven! Complicated doesn’t begin to cover it. All those hours we spent together, the plans we made. Were they all just lies? Eight years of devotion to this company and to you, Steven. Eight years where we talked about family, yet you brought back the very woman who abandoned her children to let me raise them alone.” Each word dripped with controlled fury. I screamed standing in front of him completely naked.

“I care about you,” he insisted, stepping closer. “It wasn’t supposed to go this far. I thought…”

“Thought what?” I interrupted, rising from the chair. “That you could have your cake and eat it too? A pretty wife to bear your children and a mistress to help you build your empire?”

“Alexa, please, just listen” but he stopped, we both quieted down listening to the chaos outside. It seemed like the coworkers had brought the party here.

"Can you please get dressed?" Steven asked, his voice laced with urgency.

But I just lay there, sprawled on his desk, cradling a bottle of Vodka in my arms. A sly smile spread across my face as I met his gaze. I had no intention of letting him off the hook that easily.

"What are you doing, Alexa? Please, get dressed," Steven urged.

I looked at my discarded blue professional dress and thought to myself, no one would ever suspect that the poised and polished manager was, in reality, the mistress.

"When did you marry her?" I demanded, my voice trembling with rage. "Why didn't you tell me? I could have left."

Steven began to pace around me, his frustration visible. "That's not what is important right now," he said, his tone firm and commanding. "Get dressed and leave. We will discuss this later."

I laughed, “Steven you just ordered me, not asked not begged but ordered.” I met his gaze, wondering how I had been so blind, so foolish to love him.

I stepped closer to him, tracing a finger along his lips, down his chest, slowly unbuttoning his shirt, my eyes locked on his. "Don't you like what you are seeing?" I whispered, my voice low. "You have always gone crazy for my naked body."

  • ACCIDENTALLY HIS MISTRESS    SIBLINGS OR TRAITORS

(ALEXA'S POV)Luke regained his composure before me, just as Lala turned her toward him. "Greetings, my lovely brother in law," she said sweetly, her voice felt forced and unsettling. I stood there, confused by her sudden shift. What had happened, was someone impersonating her?Suddenly, she turned to me in anger. "You! I almost forgot about you, apologize," she hissed. I however stood there frozen, my mind blank, I kept wondering what was going on.A sharp nudge from Luke snapped me back to reality. I glanced around in panic, realizing Dr. Gwen had already slipped away already. Before I could process anything, the head maid’s harsh voice cut through my tension and confusion. "Hey, you! Bring that here! Are you stupid? Do you think you are a guest here?" I moved toward her on automatically as if she had ordered a robot.Rachel suddenly appeared in front of me, pulling me towards her. "Don't send her on other errands," Rachel told the old maid. "Her only job is to attend to the young m

  • ACCIDENTALLY HIS MISTRESS    I WISH ITS A JOKE

(ALEXA'S POV)Rose and I tiptoed through the dark room, our breaths silent. After Samantha and Dr. Gwen had left, a team had come and searched this place upside down, we had narrowly escaped, now we didn't dare make a sound as we left. I couldn't help but wonder if this was all a trap designed to introduce a new player into this game. Who the hell was Seren?Immediately we were outside, I hailed a taxi to my next destination. I used my keycard to enter a familiar, quiet building. Stepping inside, I realized this place too was untouched and exactly as I remembered it. It seemed that Luke had allowed Rachel to change his office, he kept his homes exactly the same. Whatever the reason, I decided to ignore him and focus. As I stepped further inside, I remembered a time he had pretended to sell this very place just to appease his fake mother. I wondered if Chloe was still a part of his world. I will ask him if I get the chance."This way, miss," a woman’s voice broke through my thoughts a

  • ACCIDENTALLY HIS MISTRESS    SECRETS

Rose and I stepped into the cramped apartment, the air in the room was heavy with take away, it smelled like an abandoned place. Did Linsley really live here? I walked in suspiciously but I had to speak to her, I needed anything to help me get rid of Anna.Anna has been one of the leaders of the Hunter Corporation for years, standing by my side, to label her a traitor needed some serious evidence. I couldn't move against her blindly, she had the loyalty of Samantha and Dr. Gwen, two of the most trusted women."Linsley?" I whispered across the clearly empty room, but there was no answer. Me and Rose searched until we sat silently to wait. Suddenly footsteps echoed in the hallway. The doorknob turned."Under the table! Now!" I hissed at Rose as we ran to hide under the big table in the room. I had decided not to trust Linsley first, after all she was late to the appointment. Two pairs of high end heels clicked across the floor. From my view, I could only see their shoes, but the voice

  • ACCIDENTALLY HIS MISTRESS    A TRAITOR IN THE NEST

(ALEXA'S POV)I walked into the conference room, my heels clicking on the polished floor. Ever since I destroyed the old headquarters, the Hunters had been meeting in plain, corporate spaces like this. I chose to hide in open spaces. The room was deathly quiet as I walked in, eyes judging me as I approached my seat. This was the first time we had lost someone since I had taken over leadership, and I could feel the resentment and blame in the air. They were looking for someone to blame.I took my seat at the head of the table, with Mason and Rose sitting beside me. I scanned the room, meeting their gaze one by one."I see everyone is gathered," I said coolly. "Who called for this meeting, and what is the agenda?"A man at the far end of the table slammed his hand down. "What agenda? My daughter is dead, and you have the nerve to ask why we are here?"I didn't flinch. Instead I smiled coldly. "In war, Mr. Yalta, death is inevitable."They all gasped in shock, looking at me as if I were

  • ACCIDENTALLY HIS MISTRESS    ANSWERS FROM THE PAST

(ALEXA'S POV)I was certain Rachel had ordered a hit on me now. I still couldn’t wrap my head around how she managed to dominate Luke so completely, turning a man like him that obedient. Then again, perhaps it was love.Love I sneered at the word, she was the woman he truly loved.I rode into the parking lot, forcing myself to remain calm as I walked toward the building. The Hunter Corporation had called an urgent meeting, and I was yet to meet the fool who had ordered this."Conference Room Five," I said to the receptionist. My feet were hurting. It had been a long time since I had worn heels, the constant pain in my heels kept reminding me that. The woman behind the desk raised her head. She was strikingly beautiful and familiar. Her hair was straight hair with perfectly cut bangs that framed her clear face. Her makeup was light allowing her freckles to shine. As I stated in her big brown eyes, I finally recognized her, and in my shock, I let my guard drop completely."Linsley?" I w

  • ACCIDENTALLY HIS MISTRESS    THE CHANGE IN YOU

(ALEXA'S POV)Rachel walked into the room, her heels echoing against the floor. She watched Luke with a cold, judging gaze. Luke must have sensed her cruelty because he raised slowly to face her."Rachel," he called out, his voice soft and careful. She looked at him in anger. "Why are you sleeping at a time like this?" she demanded. "Your company is collapsing, you are on the verge of losing your title as the Orchid Lord, and yet you still have the time to rest?" She said angrily.Luke looked down, unable to meet her eyes. "What do you want?" he asked, in a defeated voice.Rachel ignored his question, her eyes scanning the office with disgust. Suddenly, she moved forward and grabbed him by the collar. This move surprised me from where I was hiding. I almost gasped aloud. What was happening? I couldn't believe Luke could let anyone treat him this way."She is back," Rachel hissed, her voice trembling with anger."Who?" Luke asked, feigning innocence.Rachel sneered, her grip tightenin
