Gwen POV

His words left me stunned.

I had not thought that Damon could have security access in his absence, but maybe he was right because when I locked myself inside the restroom to check my appearance before going back to the after-wedding party, my phone buzzed with a message from an unknown number.

Instinctively, I knew it was Damon.

“I am sorry, love. I did not intend to leave you at the altar. Please wait for me.”

Tears blurred my eyes at the proof that Damon never planned to abandon me. He did not change his mind. It is not why he left me.

My chest tightened because I finally had assurance.

Damon is alright. He was coming back to me.

I don’t care why he suddenly ran off. I know that he had strong reasons to do that. All I wanted was an assurance that he was safe.

Quickly, just as the message instructed, I deleted it from my inbox and returned to the party.

Damian smiled when he saw me at the entryway. Then, he raised his glass to give a toast to me.

It was unexpected. It was not

  • ACCIDENTALLY MARRIED TO MY BROTHER-IN-LAW   Chapter 5. Where Are You?

Gwen POVLong after Damian left, I stood frozen in the garden.I felt a twinge in my chest and pressed my palm to its center. Then, I took deep, calming breaths to regulate my breathing to reset my mood.Damian’s words echoed in my head before piercing my heart like tiny needles.I know that I had nothing to my name. No wealth, fame, or a good family name, but it does not mean that I was a bad person or that I don’t deserve Damon.I love him to the point that I was willing to endure his mother’s revulsion of me, or what the people in their circle think of me.Even when everyone around him was quick to judge that I was only after his money, I stood my ground because Damon and I understood each other. We belonged together. An errant tear escaped its way out of the corner of my eyes, and I wiped it off quickly, afraid someone might see.My phone rings. It was Lou.“Damon is already here, but you’re missing. Come back quickly for the cake-cutting.” She instructed.I wanted to blurt out tha

  • ACCIDENTALLY MARRIED TO MY BROTHER-IN-LAW   Chapter 4. Seething In Rage

Gwen POVI was glaring at Damian’s back while he was walking out of the reception hall for the umpteenth time to do whatever it was that was keeping him busy all throughout the after-wedding celebratory dinner. At first, I did not mind his absences, but when guests began to give me pointed looks like they were expecting him to behave that way, I wanted to shout my dismay.I knew that most of the guests and, most importantly, Damon’s family disliked me, thinking I was unsuitable for their golden boy. They seemed to relish the way my groom was treating me, but I can’t let this go on.I can’t let people think that it was Damon who was behaving strangely when it was his twin brother all along.A huge part of me wanted to clear Damon’s name and retain the image of an ideal man that was him, that his twin had very neatly sabotaged today.Damon was sweet, gentle, and attentive. Not uncaring and inattentive like the man who posed as him.And most importantly, Damon will never treat his wife

Gwen DelafonteMy eyes smarted with unshed tears. My brows knitted in confusion as I stared at the man who looked like my Damon, but he was not Damon.I was so sure of it.Admittedly, they have the same build and the same broad shoulders, I told myself as I ran a critical eye over his form. They even fit the same suit perfectly. I noticed that he was also wearing the golden cufflinks I gifted Damon the night of our wedding rehearsal, and it looked good on him. Then, my gaze flew to his face. That same angular face with its sharp jawline, almond-shaped black eyes, narrow nose, and thin lips. Even the way their hair was parted to the side looked the same, but I was so sure they were not the same man.Questions flitted in my head. One after the other. How could this be? How can this happen?Belatedly, I recalled snippets from past conversations from the few awkward family dinners I attended with Damon.Damon has a twin brother who was estranged from the family for a long time now.Damon

Damian Marcus OlsonI parked my car outside my apartment building and turned off the ignition. Not long after, I heard impatient raps on my side window.I sighed when I saw my grandfather, Ryan Olson, outside, and raked my fingers through my hair several times, anticipating a confrontation before finally deciding to leave the car.The minute I stepped out, my grandfather began nagging.“What took you so long? I told you we are going to attend your brother’s wedding. Hurry, I already asked the maid to prepare your suit.”I looked at my grandfather with conflicting feelings.“Do you think that is wise?”We were walking toward the house. I kept my gait slow to match my grandfather's. He was not as sprite as he used to be and is now walking with the aid of a cane. Still, he was a proud man, as evidenced by his ramrod back.Grandfather frowned, and I went on to clarify.“I had been estranged from my family for years. They did not want me around. Do you think they would want me to attend D

  • ACCIDENTALLY MARRIED TO MY BROTHER-IN-LAW   Chapter 1. Kissing The Wrong Man

Gwen POVI watched my reflection in the vanity mirror in excitement.Today is my wedding day, and like my stylist, I wanted to look impeccable for my groom, Damon Mark Olson.“You are absolutely stunning, dear. Damon would be so proud.” My best friend, Lou Becker, who is also my maid of honor, said excitedly.“She’s more than stunning. She looked perfect.” My stylist argued after giving her handiwork a last once-over. Then, she pulled the veil over my head to complete my look.“There.” She announced chirpily.Happiness gurgled inside me. Hearing the compliments made my chest swell with immense pleasure.Today, I am going to marry the man I love, the man of my dreams. We didn’t have it easy. Until now, I know that several people from Sunshine’s Bay’s creme de la creme have frowned on our relationship. Even his mother never failed to show her dislike for me at every opportunity. But Damon fought hard for me.An assistant handed me my bridal bouquet after a filming crew called my attenti
