LOGINCHAPTER 4
VITTORIA'S POV. I feel like my soul is getting out of my body right now. How did I end up committing such a big mistake? Now, I'm not just accidentally married to some random person, but I'm stuck in a marriage to Marcello Giordano, the cold and ruthless Mafia kingpin who doesn't think twice before snapping someone's head off in seconds of being offended. I know him very well. Of course, everyone in New York City knows a lot about him, but only a few have ever set eyes on him, if not for anything, for the fact that he's the first face on the FBI's most wanted list of criminals. Why did I even get angry with Diego in the first place? Hasn't it always been sung that all men are cheats because they're polygamous in nature? And most women have been managing to stay married to their cheating men, right? I would have just endured to hear from Diego. Maybe all this mess wouldn't have happened. "Please, promise me that you won't hurt me," I said, my voice slow and steady, because I know how dangerous he can be. Worst of all, if he finds out my connection to the Alfonso's, my life and that of my entire family will be gone! Now, I can't just take him to meet my family–the flesh and blood of the same man who stole millions from his family and also leaked information about his illegal dealings to the authorities. I just nodded to his submission and picked up my phone immediately to send a chat. I scrolled down to Avery's name. "Babe. Your elder brother and his wife were in need of some money for their son's treatment, right? Tell them that I got some money for them, but first, I need their help as well. A man is coming home with me, so I want them to act as my parents. Is that okay?" I texted. **** I can't believe all this is happening. I can't believe that just a simple mistake in the room number could ruin my life like this. I could feel his deadly eyes boring into my skin as we moved out of the hotel and strode towards the black Rolls-Royce parked at a distance. "Hey, wifey, are you okay? Do I make you nervous in any way?" He asked, his voice laced with so much tenderness and care as he locked his palms into mine. I refused to answer. Of course, he can't fool me. I already knew him as a dangerous Mafia boss, and nothing will make me see him differently from that. I tried to maintain silence, staring out of the window as we drove down the streets, but this man won't stop talking. "Hey, Vittoria, look at me. No woman dares to look away while I'm talking to her, do you hear me?" His croaky voice sent shivers down my spine. I turned and fixed my gaze on him. "But why don't you just annul the marriage? Your supposed bride is still unmarried, right? Why can't you let go of me and get married to her instead?" I asked, blinking irresistibly as I tried to dodge his fiery gaze while he roamed his eyes over my body. "My biggest rival just declared war. And to secure a claim to the throne, I need a wife. Moreover, the enemy knows about this union already, so backing out will only make me look weak." He explained. "But no need to worry yourself, you're in safe hands." He added. "Safe hands? Did he just call being trapped in an accidental marriage with a renowned and most wanted murderer like him as safe hands?" I couldn't dwell much on my thoughts as he suddenly began to brush his lips over my earlobe, causing goosebumps to run through my body. I tried to give him a distance, but he grabbed my wrist tightly and drew me closer, rolling his tongue over my ears, until he finally slid his fingers in between my tights. Oh my gosh! When he felt the increasing pulse of my folds, he couldn't help but jerk me up and make me sit on his lap. His rod was already standing hard, and I could feel it poking me on my butt while he wrapped his two hands around my chest, playing viciously with my nipples. Oh my....I almost screamed in ecstasy as I couldn't control the feel of that touch on my most sensitive part, but I had to bite my lips and suppress my moan before it would irritate the driver. "Seems like this is your first time attaining such a level of orgasm, huh?" He chuckled, gritting his teeth as he allowed me to sit back on the car seat. "How's that your business?" I replied abruptly, but my heart still held a trace of fear. 'Watch your tongue, Vittoria. He can just kill you.' I scolded myself. He chuckled again, then leaned towards me. "Answer me. Do you enjoy every bit of it from last night?" I only nodded, but even without that, the look on my face couldn't hide it. Men..... I can't deny it. With the way he handled me, the excitement was out of this world! It's even making me wish Diego had cheated on me earlier; maybe I would have started enjoying it long before now. "Now, this is just a preview of what you'll be having very frequently for being my wife." He added. **** Thankfully, Avery's brother and his wife were able to play the parental role perfectly. They already knew a lot about me since high school because Avery and I have been visiting each other's homes. But how can I explain all this to my family now? How can I just adapt to a life of keeping distance from them as if they were never part of my existence? I had to put my phone on silent because I couldn't pick up their calls in his presence, before I say something that'll make him start suspecting me. My mother and brother had called me more than a hundred times, but I couldn't return any of their calls because of fear. Now I feel like my life is useless! "Vittoria." His voice jolted me out of my thoughts. "You've been quiet since we left your parents. Are you okay?" He asked. At first, I shook my head negatively, but when I remembered who was sitting beside me, I nodded positively. He curled his lips up in a wicked smirk. "I know your type. Well, I just hope you're not planning on escaping. Are you?" He stretched his hands and held my chin up. "Just get yourself prepared. We're heading to my home, where you'll meet all my family." He concluded. Ha! My jaw dropped. 'His family? What if one of them recognises me as the daughter of Alfonso's? For how long would it continue with this pretence?’ I couldn't get those thoughts out of my mind. What happens if he finds out I've been lying to him from the beginning? Would he kill me just like his victims, or would he just spare my life and make me a slave? What about Avery's family that I've dragged into this whole issue?CHAPTER 4VITTORIA'S POV. Marcello's POV"Forget?" I whispered gently as I pinned her beneath me and fanned her face with my breath."Yeah. Make me forget–everything." She continued.I made sure I carefully worked my lips all over her body. Even when she failed to reply to me when I asked how she wanted her man to treat her, I ensured to give her the best night–the type that'll make her forget just as she requested."You want to forget, right? I assure you, after tonight, I'll be the only thing that you'll ever remember." I whispered into her ear. I must confess, she's the sweetest and sexiest girl I've ever gone down with."Heh, I think it's high time you start to leave. I need some time to myself."I heard her tiny voice pierce my ears. I just lowered my head and smirked. 'Is this girl crazy? I should leave the room I lodged in with my own money?' But the good thing about her command is that her voice sounded uncertain, trembling as if she's scared of the unknown.I turned, rolling my eyes from her head to
VITTORIA'S POV"Hey, Vittoria. You've been avoiding my calls. Is everything okay? I just want to remind you of the little party the ladies are throwing for you tonight. Hope you're getting ready?" My hand mistakenly played the voice note that Nissi had sent to me when I couldn't pick up her call because I was talking with my brother."No. No longer interested." I replied. But immediately, a different thought struck my mind, and I had to delete the message and resend another one."Okay. Let's meet at the Sunset resort one hour before the time." I replied, ignoring my brother's warnings."Vittoria, is this the best you can dress for such a party that is supposed to hold a special memory in your life? And you look… oh my, I just don't like your appearance this evening, girl." Nissi frowned the moment she set her eyes on me."I'm not in for any party, Nissi. I...I just stepped out because I want to forget about my sorrows." I muttered weakly."Sorrows? What type of sorrow?" Nissi asked,
VITTORIA'S POVNothing would have made me guess that the eve of my engagement would destroy my life. Had I known, I would have just got myself into the convent and stayed far away from the opposite gender.Everywhere around the Alfonso household was rustling and bustling with friends and family getting things ready for the engagement."Hey, have you seen Diego today at all? Shouldn't you two meet to discuss the order of events properly?"My elder brother, Alberto, asked, his voice laced with excitement because he's even more anxious than I am. At least, my family won't be laughed at by the community again after I was the only lady above twenty that's left single while all my age mates from other families were married."Hmmmm. You're absolutely right." I nodded in affirmation and immediately set myself to leave for Diego's house.Since my father's death, my elder brother has always stood in and played the fatherly role in my life, so I can't just go against him.Even though Diego and
