Chapter 60Lilian was quiet in her room. After her short fuse burst with Sean, she was quite unhappy. With nothing better to do, she says down to another episode of 'The Alphas'. Chapter 61The evening was quiet and solemn. Lilian was in her room watching the movie on her tablet. Damian had asked her to come to his room but she was scared to go and for good reason. All the bad stuff that had happened to her had happened in his room. What did he even want her for anyway? Maybe he was actually angry about her shooting Dean. Chapter 62Damian was having a boring day at work there was nothing to do and everything was running smoothly. He had successfully revitalized the businesses he bought from Jackson and Torres and he placed them under the position of management but he kept an eagle eye on them in case they decided to start stealing funds.Adam suddenly knocked on the door and walked in briskly. A lot had changed in Adam. He wasn't reacting as badly to Damian's insults. He was actually in a better mood these days and was having a bigger smile on his face. He stood up and walked back home. He would give the rose stem to the gardener to replant. He passed Antonio's house and there was no one in front of it this time. He walked silently down the road and soon he was in front of his gate. The guards opened the gate and found the gardener tending to a dying plant. Chapter 64Lilian was a bit frightened but Damian stood his ground. The hooligans–five of them–stopped what they were doing and walked menacingly towards them. They had poles and bats in their hands but no gun was seen."What you looking at, huh? Move along, pretty boy."Damian said nothing but stood his ground. Lilian looked at the gang men and was assessing them as much as she could. She looked carefully and saw one concealed gun beneath his shirt. Chapter 65He groaned and palmed his face. How could he be so forgetful? Well there was nothing he could do about it now he was in the hospital and he doubted he would have any time after that day. As he lay in bed, Lilian walked in with a bag of Chinese takeout. "I didn't know what else you liked so I just bought the takeout."Damian gestured to the bedside table and she put it there."How are you feeling now?" she asked as she sat down."The same."Damian wasn't in the mood to talk. All he wanted was to get out of this stupid bed and go home. Lilian exhaled. She wasn't going to push the questions. His apathy to the discussion was apparent. Chapter 66"Fuck!"Lilian woke up with a jump. What had happened? She rushed out of bed and headed as fast as she could to Damian's room. She found him seated on his bed clutching his injured arm in pain. He looked up as he saw her come in."Are you okay?" Lilian asked with concern."What do you think it looks like?" Chapter 67The week moved by fast. Soon it was a new week and the week of the party. Everyone was busy. Damian spent the entire week resting and working from home. He didn't want to be seen with a sling again at work. His arm did get better as he rested and soon he could put on his own clothes without Lilian's help. He still kept it in the sling for support though. Lilian had been a massive aid to him while his arm was temporarily out of commission.It was Thursday and the party was in two days.
