We arrived at dawn, emerging from the forest into what had once been the Blackwood pack lands. Three years ago, their Alpha had gone mad, slaughtering half his pack before the survivors tore him apart. Since then, no pack claimed the territory. It became a haven for rogues, exiles, and things that preferred to hide from Council oversight.
