Chapter 2

Helena's Pov

I made a weak growl as slowly opened my eyes. My forehead furrows when I see my surroundings. I'm surrounded by tall trees and thick grasses. What the heck! What am I doing here? I shockingly ask in my mind. I quickly stood up and shook my back using my hands to remove the dry leaves and grass that clung to me. It seems like I'm inside a forest. But how did I get here? I slightly shook my head. Where did I come from? And who I am? Why I can't remember my name or anything about myself?

"Helena..." a voice coming from somewhere called a name. And then I suddenly remember that was my name. Yes. I am Helena. But aside from my name, I couldn't recall anything. I don't remember my family or the place where I live. Or maybe I am just dreaming right now that's why I couldn't remember anything about myself aside from my name. I pinch my skin if I could feel pain.

"Ouch," I felt hurt when I pinched my skin so it means I am not dreaming. This is real. I gently massage my forehead because I suddenly felt pain. It looks like forcing myself to remember the things that I forgot brought me pain. I close my eyes and took a deep breath. I calm myself and try not to panic so I will not hurt myself. It will not help me if I force myself to remember the things that I forgot. What I should do right now is to think about how can I get out of this forest.

I scan my eyes at my surroundings. I notice that the trees are tall and have thick leaves that the rays of the sun almost couldn't get through. Many chirping birds were heard and some noises of insects. I think I am in the deepest area of the forest. I wonder who brought me here. I don't think that I just walk here by myself while sleeping and laid down on the ground full of dried leaves and dirt. I am not that stupid. I'm sure there are a lot of dangerous wild animals in this forest so I would not dare come here on my own. I think someone drags me here. And whoever brought me here wants me dead. Because anyone will not survive in this kind of scary forest with no food, water and there's danger from the wild and fierce animals. But who could it be? Did I offend someone and hold a grudge against me that's why he brought me here and wants me dead? I took a deep breath and shook my head again. No matter how much I think I couldn't think of any person since I don't remember my family and even my friends. And thinking about it won't help me. It won't get me out of this forest.

Instead of thinking not helpful things and waiting for someone to take me out in the forest, I decided to walk and find my way out. I walked for almost thirty minutes but I still couldn't get out of the forest. And it seems like I'm just walking in circles. I couldn't walk far away and always ended up in one place. And that's the place where I woke up earlier. I started to feel panic so I close my eyes and took a deep breath again. I need to calm myself. If I panic I wouldn't be able to think properly. When I open my eyes I see a bright light not far away from me. I hurriedly run to get near the light in hope that it will lead me out of this forest.

My eyes widened when I saw a huge halo beside a huge tree. The halo is colorful and its colors were bright. I slowly approach the halo as if I was drawn into it. I touch the halo with my bare hands. But to my dismayed, the bright and colorful halo suddenly disappeared.

Where did it go? I couldn't help but ask in my mind. I look around me thinking that the halo had only changed its position but I didn't find it, instead, I notice that I'm not in the same place in the forest. It seems the halo brought me out in that forest but only to bring me to the deepest part of the forest. I didn't mind the halo anymore and started to walk and find a way to get out of this forest. As I am walking for about ten minutes, I suddenly felt that someone is following me. The first thing that came to my mind is that a wild animal is following me. But my thought was wrong when two men comes out behind a huge tree. I almost scream when I saw that their eyes were read and they have sharp fangs on both sides of their upper mouth.

Vampires! They are vampires! I scream in my mind. I have never seen vampires personally but the way they look was just like how vampires are exactly described in a book and movies that I saw before. Movies? Why is it suddenly pop out in my mind? I don't even remember when and where I watched movies. It was just a word that suddenly came to my mind.

"Hello, pretty lady? Are you lost?" the taller but slim vampire asked while smiling at me and showing his sharp fangs.

"Do you want us to accompany you, pretty lady? It seems like you're lost in the forest," said the short and a little chubby vampire. The way they stare at me feels like I'm delicious food in front of them. They began to slowly approach me so I felt panic. Now I know what fear truly is.

"No! Don't come near me!" I shouted in fear. I felt my body becomes cold and shaking in fear. Vampires suck out human blood and they will not leave you until you run out of blood in your body and becomes dry. I don't want them to suck my blood. I don't want to die here in an unknown place. I still want to go home and find out the things about myself that I forgot.

"C'mon, lady. We just want to help you find your way," said the taller vampire. He's trying to convince me as if I'm a fool. I know they were not going to help me but they are going to eat me alive.

"Get lost!" I angrily shouted at them. I force myself not to show them that my body is shaking in fear. I took a deep breath and forcefully calm myself. Though my body is shaking I still manage to run away from them. But vampires can run fast so they quickly catch on to me and block my way. My knees are shaking and feel that I have no strength so I stumbled and fall to the ground.

"You can't run away from us," the chubby vampire said while grinning. His eyes are very delighted as if very delicious food is in front of him.

A loud scream come out of my throat and I suddenly close my eyes when he grabbed my shoulder and was ready to bite my neck. A few seconds had passed but I still couldn't feel the sharp fangs of the vampire on my skin so I open my eyes. And when I open my eyes I saw a pair of beautiful yet fierce eyes in front of me that was owned by the most handsome man that I have ever seen, I think. His cold and fierce yellowish eyes are a bit familiar to me but I don't remember when and where did I see them.

"A-Alpha Duncan!" said the taller vampire with a sense of fear in his tone while his eyes widened.

My eyes fly to the vampire who speaks and I saw great fear in his eyes while looking at the man's back. I step back a few steps when I saw the chubby vampire lying on the ground while holding his wounded neck. Did this alpha do that? How cruel.

Alpha Duncan? The man in front of me is a werewolf? That explained why his eyes were familiar to me. Werewolf? I don't like this kind of creature. But I don't know where my disliking feelings came from. And I also don't know where I saw his eyes and it feels familiar to me.

Maybe I dislike him because werewolf is no different from vampires. They don't suck your blood but they were still going to eat you which is more painful that just sucking your blood.

"Please, spare us, Alpha Duncan," the chubby vampire begs the alpha in front of me. He is like a scared puppy in front of a big wolf and far from a scary vampire earlier.

The two different kinds of races in front of me are scary so I decided to run away from them while they were talking but before I could step my feet the alpha holds my arm tightly.

"Don't you dare run away from me, my luna," he said in a dangerous and warning tone. My body felt stiffened when he touched me. And I can't explain why I feel hot by a simple touch of this alpha. I stare at his eyes and I felt like I'm being bewitched by him. I shook my head to snap out that thoughts. This is not the time to think things like that and not to this kind of person.

"I'm not your luna," I bravely answered though I feared him.

"Yes, you are," he replied and then suddenly kick the chubby vampire. The vampire's body flies and is thrown into the body of a huge tree. The vampire coughed blood in front of us but Duncan seemed didn't to feel pity for him. He approached the vampire with his hand holding my arm and mercilessly twisted the neck of the vampire using his one hand right in front of my widened eyes. The other vampire wants to escape but Duncan didn't let him escape. He moves faster than the vampire so before the vampire could escape the alpha already approached him and mercilessly killed him too.

My eyes widened even more. Alpha Duncan still killed the vampires although they were begging him. This Alpha is more merciless and cruel than the two vampires. I know that others will say that the vampires deserve to die and I will be the one who died if Duncan didn't come and killed those vampires but I still couldn't help myself from fearing him and disliking him.

"T-Thank you for saving me but I have to leave," I said to him, and before he could speak I had already turned my back on him and starts to walk. I need to get away from him as far as I could.

"Who said that you're leaving me? You will go with me and become my luna," said the alpha when he suddenly appeared beside me.

"No! Leave me alone! I don't want to be your luna!" I shouted at him but it was useless. Without warning, he carried me on his shoulder just like a sack of rice. I punched his back but it seems he didn't feel pain or my punches on him are not that strong enough to make him hurt. I struggle with his shoulder until he finally put me down and stared at me angrily.

"Since you don't want to be my luna then it's useless to keep you alive. I should eat you alive so my strength will increase ten times stronger," he said to me with a dangerous face.

My eyes widened and suddenly swallowed my saliva when the man in front of me transformed into a big silver wolf. I couldn't even scream when the wolf attack me because of extreme fear. Am I going to die now? My vision becomes dark and before I could feel the pain of his sharp teeth in my body I suddenly passed out.

Jessie's POV

I smiled while typing in front of my laptop. I'm very excited to publish my new story. I'm sure my readers will gonna love this. A normal girl who hates werewolves falls in love with an Alpha. And the female protagonist's character is my sister who hates wolves. Very exciting. Thanks to my sister that's why I thought of this story. She inspired me to write a wonderful story.

"You hate wolf, my dear sister? I will make sure that in my story you will love the alpha with all your heart," I talk to my sister as if she was in front of me. There are a lot of exciting scenes inside my mind and I'm very excited to write them down so I concentrate on writing the first chapter of my story while my sister is already sleeping in her room.
