Chapter 56

Lyra's POV.

I jumped under impulse, trying to reach for the Stars but not in a way that was going to. I needed to sneak back in to be able to cut them more information and rely on my senses to be able to help out in this war.

I have been contemplating a few things earlier making any sense now that was going to last longer than expected instead it was only going to bring back the memories that I had been drawing or had to push back.

Being antsy wasn't part of the initial plan but nobody was going to continue like this without having a backup that was going to last longer.

If I needed answers then I needed to be in a very clear environment that would give me a better inside on what I was handling and how fast I could go on with it to make sure that I had settled scores.

My next move was to make sure that there was no way that I had been lagging behind and was going to backfire in my face.

I had to do something that was going to help me stay out of trouble forever at least to the best of my knowledge and see what next could be done to arrange things.

My next move was a Swift One and the next person that was going to help me out was none other but Camille. She wanted to be involved in the entire process. What better way to get her looking like she had a say than to potentially make her see the reason why she was better on my side?

I found her training in the woods and immediately headed towards her. "Oh, you're not going to the ground today?*

"Why exactly are you here lyra?" She demanded from me

To get answers and to know that I had someone by my side almost going to help me if things wanted to Fall by the wayside.

It wasn't really because I could not defend myself or I was not confident in my abilities to help them out but I was having doubleminds towards whatever Lucius wanted to do.

I wasn't going to allow myself to be used as a weapon of destruction when I could have just played my game as smoothly as possible.

"I came to see you. It seems like you are hurting. I would like to know what's going on even if I don't think that I have these solutions at hand." I said.

"Yeah, right and you truly expect me to believe any of those words?" She scoffed, before lifting another piece of heavy wood.

It was going to take a long time for the both of us to come to terms with the fact that we were both victims on various levels but she believed that she was in the one and I didn't think I was in the right frame of mind to start convincing her otherwise.

It seemed like a total waste of time and I was not going to continue in that direction when I could just forge ahead with something more admirable.

"Yeah, I see what's going on. You came here to find out if you are able to get information out of me that will help you navigate your way through the ultimatum that he gave to you?"

She wasn't wrong but neither was I going to make her understand that so I still pretended to be disappointed even if I knew that It was a complete lie.

I also had a few things that I wanted to sort out on my own end but none of them was going to make the cut if I didn't find out what was going on behind my back and how I could salvage the entire situation without looking like a complete fool.

There was a line of activities going on that required some level of proactiveness to be able to deal with certain issues but at some point we had no other choice but to focus on what was more important and that took a longer while to be able to bring back.

She wasn't going to respond to me immediately that I was sure but that didn't mean that I couldn't still continue trying at least to stay the best that I could get out of the entire issue.

"See, I'm not a fool to think you are just doing this out of the goodness of your heart and nothing more. I know that you want more information but you're not going to get it from me because everybody believes that you are wise enough to be able to clock it." She spoke.

To some extent I was a little bit worried about how long it was going to take for me to be able to overcome.

If there wasn't going to be a change, she was surely going to switch things up to produce something worth the while.

So, there wasn't going to be any strong move that was going to take things from the current position to the next level.

"Why I think you might be right to an extent I think that you also have the wrong idea of what things actually are on this side and it's been affecting you a long way than it should." I said.

Camille rose from the floor, her legs scraping each other as she proceeded towards my back.

I wasn't going to be shocked if she pulled a stunt on me because I had a feeling that she had always hated my presence and this was the time for her to fully flex her annoyance.

Everything else that she had been doing happy and camouflage and the right time get out was now

I had nothing to lose, the only person who had been dealing with the issues from the start was me.

So I stepped closer, refusing to allow myself to get dragged into something that could have been avoided a long time ago.

"Tell me more and I'll let you in on some important information." I bargained.
