03 Pregnant

I opened my eyes and saw a white ceiling. I sighed wondering where I was. I looked down at my body and saw a drip connected to my hand. It dawned on me. I'm in the hospital but how did I get here?

I heard the clicking sound of the door followed by the entering of a female doctor who had a smile all over her face, she was putting on a white overall

She walked towards me and checked my temperature after which she disconnected the drip and smiled at me

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine doctor thank you, how did I get here"

"You were shot dear, and you have been unconscious for two weeks"

"Two weeks?" I muttered more like a question, rubbing my head and slowly everything started coming back bit by bit, I remembered trying to take a walk around the neighborhood and then a group of guys attacked me, they wanted to rape me when I screamed, followed by a gunshot, I was shot in the stomach they all left me there to die, I look up at the doctor

"You want to know how you got here?" She asked and I nodded my head

"Well some kind villagers who saw what happened brought you here thought it was too late but I must commend you're a fighter"

"A fighter?"

"Yes my dear, in cases like yours following your condition and you were brought in late I never thought you could make it, though I held on to that tiny hope that you will survive and here you are awake on the day of Lunar"

"Lunar?"

"Yes my dear, today is the Lunar celebration at the pack house, at least it's belief that in every Lunar celebration, the chance of finding one's mate is ninety-nine percent, and it's a good thing you woke up on the day of Lunar you're a strong woman"

"Thank you doctor I couldn't have made it without you"

"You're welcome and you need to be careful from now on because of the baby you're carrying, you don't need to stress yourself so you don't endanger your baby's life, I was surprised when nothing happened to your unborn child both of you are fighters"

"Excuse me, doctor? Did you just say, baby?"

"Yes dear, you're pregnant"

"No..no….doctor it can't be," I said immediately sitting up on the bed, my body started shaking immediately as unknown sweat trickled down my forehead, how can I be pregnant with a child. I can barely feed. How do I take care of this child?

I should have known when that stranger was pouring his seed inside of me, but..but I never thought a one try could get me pregnant, god where do I start?

Oh gosh this is not happening

"I'm sorry dear, seeing your reaction I could tell you never knew you were pregnant"

"Doctor please help me I do not want to be pregnant, I can't be pregnant please doctor" I muttered helplessly looking at the doctor

"But a child is a blessing?"

"Not in my condition doctor, I can't even feed how do I take care of a child whose father I do not know"

"Alright dear calm down, tell me what you want to do"

"Abortion doctor, I want to get an abortion," I said to the doctor looking helpless

"Are you sure this is what you want?"

"Yes doctor it's what I want"

"Alright but you have to do something for me, go to the Lunar celebration tonight at the Alpha's mansion then you can come tomorrow for the abortion"

"Is that all?"

"Yes my dear" 

"Alright doctor, thank you so much"

"You're welcome" She smiled at me before leaving

I look at the wall clock hanging on the wall, it's five in the evening and I've less than two hours to get to the Alpha's mansion for the Lunar celebration

I slowly came down from the hospital bed, I was barefooted and was wearing the hospital gown, I cared less about my appearance, I was only interested in making it to the Alpha's mansion and then tomorrow I'm getting rid of this child

My life is so messed up. Why will I be pregnant? god this is unfair. Why's all this happening to me? People in the hospital stared at me awkwardly. At this point I don't care. Their stares were the least of my problem at the moment

I made my way to the Alpha's mansion since its where I lived before I know exactly where to find it, as I stood before the big gate everywhere was decorated with bright light, and people can be seen going in and out of the mansion the celebration already started 

Years ago this place used to be my safe haven, everything in here was ours but all that went away in a blink of an eye. I'm coming back here looking almost like a psychopath

I step my feet into the big gate a lot of things have changed, my father's statue which used to be in the middle of the compound has been taken away, my mother's beautiful flower that she waters every morning is no longer here, 

It's almost like all of the sweet memory that were made were all destroyed and replaced with new ones, I remembered how my mother tried every day to nature the flowers, she said it gives life to the environment, but looking around this whole place it has been replaced with fancy light and decorations

I stood in the middle of the compound looking around while people stare at me like a maniac, I was still standing when a familiar minty scent caught my attention

My eyes widened, I'm sure I've smelled that scent before but I couldn't remember where? I trailed the scent, and it took me to the entrance of the mansion, I stepped in immediately and the scent got stronger

It was like a desire was awakened inside of me, I trailed the scent following its smell, not minding the crowd of people in the hall both rich and poor, I was the only one looking off

It was almost like I was close to the scent, I kept wriggling my way through the crowd when the scent finally stopped, and slowly I lift up my head it was no other than the Alpha, he was standing majestically before his throne, his face suddenly caught my attention, he was the half drunk stranger whom I had a one night stand with

My heart leaped forth in joy, I took a slow stride close to him, 

"Mate" I called happily, Amy my wolf dance in excitement wagging her tales happily, I could see recognition flash through his eyes but it was replaced immediately with an emotionless face, does it mean he did not recognize me? No I'm sure he did

"Baby" A beautiful lady beckoned him, I watch as she walk close to him she kissed him on the lips and intertwined their hands, 

I look at the lady and look at myself, I was no match for her, 

"Who's she?" She asked glaring daggers at me

My heartbeat tripled, he's the father of my unborn child, is like fate is finally smiling at me, people's attention was on us, I rubbed my palms nervously waiting for the Alpha's answer

"She's an unwanted weed, I'm about to get rid of" My heart crushed into pieces, my tiny hopes has been shattered

My fate has been decided, it's filled with cruelty.
